There is one, but afaik only during tournaments (which happen a few times a month iirc)

This is so awesome! To see actual people playing King of Fighters! And all these cabinets. I remember seeing Ninja Warriors triple-screen cabinet in Turkish arcade. this was something I never saw before. And this arcade is not filled with stupid dance/rythm games. So cool!
It's amazing how much better CRT displays are for games.
I went here in 2019 and it was my first real arcade experience ever, living in the US and being born after the arcade era started to decline. I'm so excited to go back, it's going to be amazing!
Warms my heart knowing there's an arcade out there in 2023 where Splatterhouse and Metal Slug 3 are neighbors

Everybody knew how to play everything. There were no scrubs.
Thanks for these tours of the Japanese arcades. It's kind of sad watching them as arcades are on the endangered series list here in America.

This place looks absolutely brilliant!!!the social aspect of it just takes me back to the good old days of arcade gaming..online play nowadays is cool and all but it just doesn't capture the magic like this did ... what an outlet!!! We have nothing like this here in Ireland tbh . . It would be so cool to hang out there and chat and take challenges on from other players! Japan always fascinated me culturally and there love for gaming! ........ AWESOME PLACE you are so lucky to have experienced this . Thanks for the upload man 🐲👍🐉

oh man haven't seen whack the crocodile arcade game since the early 2000s.. and that gundam Spirits of Zeon game was a enjoyable game apart from time crisis series
I love how they have a floor for each era, and then the fighting game floor. Also close to the train station; I have a 1st high score on the Final Fight machine here, SZZ.

Awesome to see people playing the games I still play. And, the Astro City cab's. I had a chance to get one a long time ago but bought a clone of the Neo Candy 29.
I recently read that the fighting game scene was nearly dead in Japan. So happy to see it alive here.
I miss these games. We have that before in the Philippines wayback 2000-2010 especially metal slug, power stone, marvel vs capcom and many more. Sadly retro arcade games is so rare to see now

I'm hoping to go to Japan sometime in 2024. I really need to know the list of video arcade game centers in Japan that are still alive and going strong. Is Mikado still around and kicking? And what about GiGo arcades?

That's very scarce here,---except for those big mall buildings: e.g. Gulf City Mall, in La Romain, San Fernando, Trinidad.
When we was mids enjoying a lot ., but now iphone took all the fun away
I even heard the Mikado Game Center contributed to the remakes of Raiden III and Raiden IV by remixing the music in the game

Bro if I go to Japan this location is where im gonna go because I love retro arcades not the cheap boring modern stuff the real arcades like I see in the video. I also subscribed to their youtube channel and they made some interesting videos regarding tournaments.
Arcades in Japan look way better they have seats and more privacy based with the size of the cabinets compared to American arcades

I wonder if some of these arcades have online features to upgrade the game, face worldwide challengers and save your progress in home/machine, I saw videos that this was a trend in the beginning of he decade but don't know if it continued (I noted the NESiCAxLive in some machines with multiples games, but the individual arcades didn't have it?) Anyway, thanks for showing the online games around the 17:00 of the video 👍
The Nesica ines have inline play and progress save for sure. The old versus city ones with retro games do not.
I went to this place half year ago ,super street fighter only 50 yens for a game, also many racing games which is hard to find in other place.

All these fighting games, and they look like they're all set up for 1 player only.
Because in Japan the machines are individual and installed back to back. The 2nd controller is in the opposite machine.

always feels crazy to me that people will go to an arcade and pay to play a 30 year old game rather than play modern fighters online for pretty much free, the arcade appears to be filled with mostly middle aged men, I wonder how long this sort of business is sustainable because it doesn't appear to be bringing in the younger people, it feels like a time warp
