Hard to believe but Cascaret defeated Schultz in the World Finals previously in overtime. Schultz took a rare lunging single leg attack immediately into OT and was spun around. Gable whipped his towel down and was furious w Schultz. This was payback, too bad it wasn't the World Finals.
Not hard to believe at all. Cascaret was a helluva wrestler. The differences between the top wrestlers is usually pretty small. While Gable was an undeniably great wrestler he never achieved the things in international competition that Schulz did. Of course that was probably because he quit competition for coaching.
