Thank you for your pom video. I grow poms in New Jersey. Fruit drop is very frustrating. I have had good luck with low doses of NAD hormone after flower drop begins. It is a very inexpensive growth hormone and has helped me get very large fruit set. (24 fruits on a 10 gallon Salavatski). Good Luck
All our pomegranate bushes have mostly if not totally male flowers each and every year, I think that it's a nutrient deficiency, all I have to do is figure out when the bush actually sets what will become flowers in the future. I think that might happen in the autumn. That way I can make double sure that they have the right nutrients at the right time. Also some varieties seem to produce lots of fruiting flowers most if not all years, despite nutrition deficiencies.
According to other documentation, you got it backwards. Those are the male flowers that drop off. Other techniques include using a paintbrush to transfer pollen. It would be great to have an easy way to mark which ones you already pollinated and took pollen from. The current systems everyone uses are inefficient.
Great looking garden and great advice. I am learning as i try to grow vegetables in my garden. Lot's to learn then learn some more.
