YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST! Seriously though, I have tried off and on for over a year to folllow "tutorials" of how to pose minecraft skins. Everyone says "learn blender first" and I would give up because there is so much to learn. You made this simple, easy to follow and I was able to make some pretty good renders!!
To show the 2nd layer in viewport, you just need to enable it. Go to Object Properties ⇾ Visibility and check the Show In: Viewports option. Then Go to Object Properties ⇾ Viewport Display and change the 'Display As' option from 'Wire' to 'Textured'
I found a way how to fix it!! th-cam.com/video/-adzszsgdz8/w-d-xo.html follow this tutorial and you will be able to remove the alpha black. (I had issues about my texture looking blurry afterwards, but I fixed it with this tutorial th-cam.com/video/EKONCNCbpB0/w-d-xo.html ) I hope it helps! (and I might make my own tutorial for the sake of these mistakes haha)
I'm glad this tutorial was made, with a newer update of blender, the last time I was looking for one, there was only one tutorial, I am glad this exist
thank you very much for this tutorial, it helped me a lot even though I am not fluent in English. I really liked that in addition to being dynamic, the video has a touch of humor!
I have a question, if my avatar has a cape/a big item on there head apart of my avatar (for example mine has a cake as it was made by minecraft) how would you import that ect?
I'm sorry, but I really don't know. You'd 100% have to model it yourself. Easy for the cape, maybe a little harder for the cake depending on its shape. Nothing built in though D:
@@RagonAkashi awwww alright than, well anywho thank you so much for the help, I find it all really helpful, now I just gotta make it :’D (Plus now I gotta find the farmlands in minecraft just to make the film oof-)
great tutorial but I have a problem when I press f12 the the body is completely fine but the head is pure black does anyone know how to fix it pls help
If you want your model to be in more detail or see the outer layer before the render go back to the back of the camera button and the first option change it to cycles then render. It take longer to render and you need a bit better of a computer but it is so much worth it
idk why but for me when i grab the bones for example on the top of the arm it doesn't stay connected with the body so I cant make it look any think like you did.
Helllo! The tutorial has been great so far but at 2:11 I cannot find the red sphere, please inform me on where this is or if it has been changed to an alternative icon?
Hey so this works completely but my second layer is not showing, even in the render. Im not trying to take a picture or anything im actually trying to create a 3d model. Do you know whats wrong?
I know this is late, but the pinned comment, description and title cards are all pointing to the much easier and better version of this tutorial. If you're still interested it'll probably fix your issue
Heyo! I have a question. What do i do if when I click the "move" button and the red green and blue arrows don't pop up on the little light circle? I can't move it otherwise.

I'm guessing at some point you accidentally moved them by the bone sticking out the back. You could try moving it back I guess. Oh, and turning off Windows Defender would be pointless. I don't have the slightest clue why you'd do that in this situation.

Thanks a lot! This tutorial helped me a lot, and was more helpful than other tutorials because I can actually render the second layer.

Can you do the same with Slim skins?
ayo so this on a homepage, banger thumbnail!
Could you make a tutorial on how to add custom backgrounds?
How do i adjust the model to fit with skins with slim arms?
How do you have access to your desktop in blender I don’t have access I can’t open it (I have the same blender you have on the video)
2:10 I don't see the Material Properties thing
Bro, thank you. I've been looking for this help since the new skin layers dropped. Subbed!
my outerlayer doesnt show up when i render my head is just totally black
I do all of that and still do not have the option of skin
I got stuck on the Second layer part. Is it supposed to show the second layer?
That’s what I’m confused abt

pls make blender 3.3 tuturial its wired control

At 4:49 the new blender put this in the viewport display tab
when i go to blender and i go to append then i dont see this minecraft file
Great video. Everything was very well explained and in a very concise way.
Thank you!
Thank you so much this tutorial was really easy to understand and follow and these renders will make my youtube thumbnails way better
thanks for the tutorial tit really helped me out
I’m in texture paint and it makes it 1.8 and below when it’s +1.8 and same with F12 :(
I think you may have forgot to set the second layer/Steve head to +1.8. the second layer and first layer have to be set seperately
Helllo! The tutorial has been great so far but at 2:11 I cannot find the red sphere, please inform me on where this is or if it has been changed to an alternative icon?
Hey! I had this issue too, you need to click your player, then it will appear

What do I do if the "Material Properties" icon isn't there?
how can I make it so I can hold a pickaxe?
Find a pickaxe blend online then position it in you hand.
What is going on it is not even showing me the file icon there only 2 options 1 sheild and new material thats it
Two things, I believe you might have had the wrong part selected and this tutorial is outdated. Id use the one in the description
You are life saver maaan thanku so much
in the Fac i cant add skin is there any addons ? i cant do anything what you did at the second layers

There are 4 different Viewport Shading buttons in Blender. The one you clicked on is called "Material Preview", not "viewport shading".
Neat, thanks for letting me know. I only first started in blender about a week ago.

Awesome tutorial, is it any different for the 'Alex' player model?
