I swear every Charlie's record I have has that same pen mark on it. Shadow has to be the most experimental calypsoian. It is interesting when you listen to his catalouge and note the dynamic music layered under his incredible vocals. Pick his songs apart and you hear not only strong African and Indian influences but nuances with connections that run deep within Caribbean culture. I'd dare say Shadow is our Sun-Ra but Shadow crafted himself as uniquely Shadow.
