This Bahamian / goombay/ folk music of a bygone era in the Islands Of The Bahamas was nothing short of great. I was just a kid back in the late fifties early sixties, but I remember the songs and music. Mr. Charles Adamson was indeed one of the great song masters of that very easy going era. There were indeed many others, Blind Blake, George Symonette etc: I truly enjoyed listening the songs on this posting. Well done and thanks.
@@oceanwave4142 From what I've ascertained, this was the only album recorded by Mr. Adamson. It may have been due to the fact that he died at a relatively young age. So all of the songs accredited to him and are still favorites in the Bahamas over generations came from his only recorded album.
@@jonnycakedred If your in The Bahamas, Nassau. You can check out Island FM radio station, they also have a music store specializing in Bahamian music with special emphasis on old or nostalgic Bahamian music. Or try Amazon online.
My best guess would be to Google it and see if it pops up listed on discogs. Usually if it's listed on that site it'll have links to various sellers from all over the world. Good luck💖❤
I was born in 2000. But today’s music can’t touch these vintage records
Born in 2001, I agree.

Thank you so much
10:47 Rub your belly and dance the goombay. Sounds like high-life guitar soloing. 17:52 a favorite. That guitar-and-voice call and response. So nice.
Great music and songs from a legendary singer. These were the goldern years of entertainment in The Bahamas.

How do I get my hands on this vinyl? Bahamian music is so extremely difficult to find on streaming platforms
