- Recorded in the beautiful Scalone Vanvitelliano in Pesaro, this great piece by Bach was performed on a brand new harpsichord built by Giulio Fratini. This project has been bade thanks to the Edgar and Geraldine Feder Foundation and Piccola Accademia di Montisi.
I can’t get down the stairs, harpsichord in the way!! Seriously, very natural and affective performance. My fav. harpsichordist!

A smaller instrument with C-D compass yet sufficient for playing at least 90% of Bach's klavier legacy - a specific side of JSB's genius was to fit an immense wealth of ideas, thoughts and emotions into 4 keyboard octaves making them accessible to anyone, with any modest instrument.

Love this piece. Played with conviction. The harpsichord looks like a Mietke. Crisp but vocal sound with bass register full of character. One of these instruments that beg to be played. Repeatedly.

Spoke to Bach the other day and he approves of this wonderful rendition however he did mention the precarious position of the harpsichord.

Cette œuvre a servi pour le triple concerto pour flûte, violon et clavecin (BWV 1044). La partie soliste du clavecin est le pendant du concerto brandebourgeois n•5.
A chaque vidéo les pièces interprétées par monsieur Mencoboni le sont de mémoire, c’est prodigieux !!! Un grand respect !!!!

In merito al fraseggio, si notano incoerenze quasi ad ogni esposizione. Ma vi ha pagato 10 € a parola per scrivergli dei complimenti??
