I am proud of Piers Morgan. Since he is part of the mainstream I assumed he was going to go in the other direction with this. But instead he actually has some balls. Good for you Piers. Good for you.
I rarely agree with Piers but he's spot on! Thanks for being bold and speaking your mind while the feminist beside you continually laughs and patronizes you. How ironic. The world today is sick.
She was obviously joking. Nothing wrong with a bit of levity - in a segment that was largely light-hearted. Even Piers, "Now Gillette wants me to apologise for being masculine? No, *sorry* but no." lol Even when a British man is complaining, and refusing to apologise for something, he apologises for not wanting to give an apology. lmao
@@morganyu3838 Doesn't look like she's joking at all. She scoffs just two seconds later as well, annoyed that she - a feminist - can be accused of being offensive. @Lukaku's First Touch He is saying men who love this ad are not manly and hence their wives would be attracted to other real men who would hate this ad.

Decent women can see what is going on in the MSM and advertising and the campaign against men and, yes I'm going to say it, white men in particular.
I think the original '89 ad had a better message! That was a positive message. Showing men being at their best, the new one says, you're all bad and you have to make up for the 5% of guys who are assholes!
Go piers! That Gillette advert genuinely made me feel sick. I'm gay and I love everything about being a man and love everything about masculinity in other men. I find it beautiful. To RUIN men of the future with this propaganda is an absolute disgrace. #BoycottGillette #TheBestAManGanGetElsewhere

Look if you get so hurt by some commercial stating that "bullying is bad" or "its always better to help someone" or "Men helping society is a good thing" then maybe you're not as masculine as you think. Your masculinity definitely should be questioned. Ever since in High school i had a huge beard. I started working out when I was really young. After University my go to hobby is boxing. I do a lot handy work around the my gf house. My ex gf all considerd me "Manly". I dont need to prove to people that im a tough guy or im manly. They call me a pussy or a wimp ...cool. When someone says boxing is gay...or when my friends or my brother call me feminine...or they call me a girl. Im okay with. IT DOESNT HURT MY MASCULINITY. If it does was I masculine enough to begin with. Its kinda like when someone has small dick and you call em out on it...they usually get so upset like "OMG my penis is massive ughhhh"....but someone who actually who actually has hige dick. Doesnt give a shit. If call him out hes not gonna care cuz he knows how big it. Are you serious...Like a stupid commercial got your panties in bunch wowowow.
Why should I be ignoring the hate or provocation simply by thinking I'm some untoucheable alpha male and that's it ? The reason for people (mostly men) being outraged is because the people who came out with this bullshit ad are trying to make all men responsible for the acts of some toxic idiot men that are just a minority. All men should not apologise for the acts of some utter cunts as said in the video. The message behind the video may be noble, but the delivery is simply pathetic. I believe the ad should employ the term "toxic masculity" instead of "Men" or "masculinity"', because the definition of the latter never included the terms "harassment" nor "bullying".
The message wasn't just "bullying is bad" you twat. They basically just went through every feminist buzzword that comes up in a google search when you type in "toxic masculinity". Playfighting was vilified in this ad, BBQing was vilified for no reason. Attempting to get laid was vilified... being a decent boss/office leader and also male, was vilified... by and large this was just man-hate. Not anything that could actually lead to anything "good".
I like how all these female news casters are all like 'theres nothing wrong with the ad!' but switch the gender around to making ad about asking women to be better and they will be the first ones on the frontlines to condemn the ad
It doesn’t matter because they’re still perverts rapist molesters harasses abuses and bullies walking around you peacefully every day so no one cares about what products you buy or don’t buy tbh
Piers is annoying. But in this video he is spot on. He perfectly represents and describes exactly what is wrong with this video. The lady next to him naturally shows exactly the problem these days with the attitude from women about men's issues and the attack. If it was him consistently interrupting her like that and making rude comments, he would've been fired or been under attack for harassment
Did you really not notice how Piers interrupted, talked over and dismissed his co-hosts arguments? In this short video, Piers did really bad. He acted as an example of a culture that hurts men, and that is exactly what this ad was trying to address.
James he's the most repulsive trash I've ever heard! Where are the real men like the Dukes of Marlborough or the Dukes of Wellington, defending real problems and not whining about TV commercials with inspiring messages!
Look at her refusing to acknowledge any of the factual things that Piers says and just deflecting and laughing them off. A commercial like this about bad women would be banned within hours.
Piers is actually portraying a very nice example of toxic masculinity in action here - and he also widely misinterprets the commercial. The other guy who points out that males commit suicide more often than women is failing to realise that the general consensus for male to be masculine, eg do not seek therapy for your problems but fix it yourself you pansy, is actually a huge part of why the suicidal rates are that high, and that part of solution must be the kind of consensus change that Gillette are going for here. It is quite astonishing to see how they both so very misinterprets this ad. They should read more about what they are complaining about. And yes, they are talking over their female co-hosts, interrupting before they can make their points, and refusing to acknowledging those points or to try to understand them.
Corpus Alienum What is so "toxic" about what Piers is saying? Please enlighten us. And is there such a thing as toxic femininity or is it only men who can be "toxic"? And what do you think would happen if they made a commercial like this about any other group other than men? If they made a commercial like this about women or blacks or Muslims, what do you think the reaction would be? Men are the only group that it's fashionable to demonise all of us based on a minority and hypocrites won't acknowledge the double standard. We just want to buy razor blades, not to get told to stop harassing or bullying as if that's what we typically do.
Man, I actually thought I was commenting on a different video... My bad. I'll link it here, it is Morgan discussing the same ad. If you watch you may see what I mean. th-cam.com/video/vTyczkAkM2Y/w-d-xo.html The point still stands though. My opinion is that this is not a general critique of men, but an attempt at inspiring to be better. Do you not agree that there are som critical aspects of what is considered masculine behaviour, and that it is possible to change while still being true men? Just watch in the comments below how much hatred and use of slurs directed at someones masculinity, like feminist, mangina, snowflake etc. This is the toxic masculinity. This is what is hurting men, like in the example above of suicides - that there are unwritten rules about how male behave and that bad behaviour is excused. This can, and should be changed. Don't take the ad to personal. If you do not do any of the misogynistic stuff that is pointed out, then good for you! But some do. And they need to be called out. If you look closely you will see that all the people in the add that calls out the bad behaviour, are men. Men are both the bullies, heroes and victims in this add - and that includes every color.
Corpus Alienum Using your logic, let's make a commercial telling Muslims to stop blowing up and shooting innocent people and if you are a Muslim that doesn't do those things then don't take it personally because there are some Muslims who do so that justifies questioning all Muslims if they are being the best Muslim they can be.
How do you not see that even in the commercial itself there are men who do not do the things you are accusing Gillette of saying that all men do? Probably because the fraction of muslims doing those things is very small, and they probably do not use Gillette razorblades B-) Gillette is targetting males in general which are their main consumerist group, and also they are pointing out stuff that is quite common. Do you really mean that Gillette should make x number of videos so that every group can be targetted with what you consider a condemning message?
The only "positive" men (the guys telling the white guys "Hey don't do that", Terry Crews saying "be accountable", the dudes in the gang scene that all get "woke" together, the father telling his daughter to "be strong") were all black. And the guy going for the ass of the black maid in the sitcom was white. Well, there was only one slightly naughty black man who does say "boys will be boys". It's like what Jimmie Walker has said: "You'll never see a poor black family on TV again [since Good Times]," as they can't show black people in a negative light.
I don't blame the woman sat next to Pierce at all because from the sort of crap women say about men it's clear they have no idea about the pressures men face from childhood conforming to the unrealistic expectations of mothers, sisters, daughters, wives whilst struggling to work mostly dangerous shitty jobs with long hours whilst missing their families in order that their daughters can have a better life than the one they had. Women don't understand mens problems any more than men understand women's problems the difference is we have been bombarded with the awareness of our own ignorance but women take theirs for granted.

Harsh truth is u want to be part of and succeed in this society then finding solace in continuing to be you (a genuine human being) i think will suffice.
This is vilifying men. How is that supposed to go towards a better society? It’s disgusting. Because it’s just double standards. If the ad was based on women the ad wouldn’t even be allowed to be aired.

This is vilifying men. How is that supposed to go towards a better society?
It’s disgusting. Because it’s just double standards. If the ad was based on women the ad wouldn’t even be allowed to be aired.

I like Piers Morgan a lot better now that he's back in England
The emasculation of men continues, it's our sons and grandsons who will have to pay the price for this
Chris J No, women will have to pay the price.
Men will adapt
Why are women weighing in on what a man should be anyway?
I have a great idea for a tampon ad encouraging false rape accusers, irresponsible mothers and gold diggers to be decent women.
I don’t care how unpopular he is. I LOVE Piers Morgan
Gillette... The best a non binanry, gender fluid person can get.
So I don’t like or agree with Pierce Morgan but Gillette has made me and him come together!
The ad was a mistake. It cost Gillette big time. The respect has to be there, Gillette disrespected all of us
Coming from a woman, I totally agree with Piers! Well said! She needs to stop being so disrespectful
Ah lovely bit of sisterhood.
Sisterhood? Is that backing someone in the wrong just because they are a woman...
