Napier - Wairoa log trains 2020 by drone NZ

Following the new log train service 680/681 from Napier to Wairoa and return during the second weekend running in February 2020. The line was mothballed late 2012 and these were the first revenue services to run again since. I believe this may have also been the last service to run also before operations temporarily ceased due to COVID-19

I notice that your profile pic is of DC's 4605 and 4951 on Train 263. I filmed them a last week on Wednesday on Train 263 too!

I use to live in one of the railway houses in Waihua and also a house around by Te KIWI Creek, would have loved to see more of Waihua.Great video and drone footage.

Just a question is or was the DF loco built for Log Freight compared to other freight. As I do see the DF carrying more logs than other freight....?
