I used to have the crafting profession match the gathering profession on my characters. There were three I did. First is herbalism and alchemy. Second is skinning and leatherworking. Third is mining and blacksmithing. Having two that go together means that stuff will eventually go away to the auction house. I did get pretty big stores of materials in my bank though. Later I went for picking two gathering professions and selling materials in the action houses. All my characters combine skinning with herbalism or mining. It is a very easy way for me to make money. Then the materials go real quick. I just need a small stack of something, and it is ready to go.

Atleast there's somewhat a reason for that. I personally collect quest giving items. Whenever i get one i don't accept the quest then go put it in my bank.

This is only done in very rare cases, such as cheating to level or a major sever side glitch that causes an issue with your account. In most cases, rollbacks do not harm your character too much. The servers automatically saves all character and item information ever fifteen minutes, so in most cases, you'll only be rolled back by about fifteen minutes.
I, like many others in the comment section, have this problem too, and I found this video thanks to a friend of mine who I play WoW with all the time. I'm literally taking every single mail and plate armor piece, even though I'm a druid night elf, and can't wear it. I'm always telling myself that I want to give them to my gnome warrior character, but that's a level 33 character, and my night elf is level 76. Best I can do now, is take all the cloth/leather stuff, put on the stuff that suits me best, and sell the rest.
Former Hoarding Horder here, had lots of bank space issues, can totally relate. I saved all sorts of stuff as souvenirs, old raid gear, I saved tier sets that I completed, favorite weapons that were no longer useful, ah memories.

No need to worry they will add a new sort of bank thing in the next expansion. Just now it's a pain in the arse to have so many epic stuff in your bank, void storage and bag that you can't put it elsewhere.

I've saved all my gear from vanilla through the expansions. though i have plenty of room in my bags and bank since thats all i've kept, well that and some items that no longer exist in game you can get such as blinding powder and flash powder, and the haunting memento and such

@ckooken Ah to be fair. I played a Restro Druid Tauren in the past. It didn´t filled it all up. Beside 2 bag spacs is okay but 4 bag spaces and including the bank spaces is just to much.
I keep getting these soulbound lore-related items that I dont want to thorw away and we cant even put them on the void, ive collected them over the years so they know take all my bank bags, I also have some that are not lore related but make me sad to throw away like Blanchy's blanket :( r.i.p. blanchy

My bags are full of archaeology items (i forgot how dey called crap) and training stones for pets that i dont use I shouldprobably get back to doing archaeology or pet battles tho
I still have wrath lvl herbs in my bank i keep telling my self I need to auction , but I like to think thats mostly me just being lazy...though half the stuff in my bags I dont think gets used.

Just sell it to the auction house and if you ever actually go into one of those proffesions buy it back from the auction house
