Mato - I became a better chess player by watching your lectures, and I learned amazing expressions that I use on a daily basis, like "definitely maybe." I love you. :D
Could someone help me understand what Mato is describing the Queen to B3 move as? Is he saying Ikeda move!? I can't make out what he is saying and I've never heard it before except in his Baltic Defence videos...
The lack of computer engine assessment is apparent in games such as this. The lack of "noise" is very apparent. Likely these players prepared for weeks whereas today players can assess moves from championships with engines in minutes. How would this game have differed if these players' preparation were aided by computers?
Mato, just listening to your lecturing style makes my day 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you
people watching this on youtube are very happy that he continued to suffer for us :3 you're awesome, mato. thanks a bunch

Plot twist: The chessboard is magnetic so turning the board upside down doesn't work

There's always four or five people who dislike Mato's video.. anyways great work Mato...
Anil K. Dasanna
I bet their fathers used to beat them with chess boards.
haha the only way to stop the pawn was by turning the board upside down ....
Kenneth Takudzwa Katsande it's funny because he said the exact same thing xD
Kelvin Larry yeah he was just laughing at what Mato said.
now you just need to find the transition for 'turning the board upside down very quickly' :-)
Thanks Mato for the game.
Always before playing chess I watch a video of Mato. It inspires me to play better.
Great video Mato!!!
1:53...why not pawn to e4? Forking the bishop and the knight

Did you say "I am not boasting, I am just saying..." at around 3.30? I couldn't quite make it out.
Yes that is what he said. He was illustrating from personal experience that the position is OK for Black. Not better, but certainly not worse.
