Proper tank gameplay requires a very high skill cap because of just how much you can control the flow of a game. It's essentially playing healer on hardmode.
After coming back after a couple of years and going into pvp a little rusty, making a mistake and getting screamed at by my team mates is really off putting. I am used to some toxic players, but I can imagine someone new trying to learn pvp in the game and getting the same treatment and not coming back.
very nice, i listened to the first two hours while building a sandcrawler in minecraft - made me remember some good swtor times. I was very much into housing and decorated my patrol carrier as a mandalorian warship on the inside. But after having accomplished that goal, the motivation was gone. Maybe it's time to revive my characters and even get back into pvp
Best thing you could do to get more people to PvP is to stop Qing premades and steamrolling pugs. This makes people quit pvp, or the game entirely because it is absolutely toxic for the general population of the game.
@@ivano1337 even 4m premades need to either go, or only be placed in games with other 4m premade teams. This is the solution. You split the Q pools. Have a solo only Q for solo only players, and then have a Q system for any group of 3 or more players. Thje grouped players then will only be placed in games with other groups of 3 or more players. This is the only solution to balance the matchmaking and make the game enjoyable for ALL. Every time i am in a game with all solo Qed players it is a WAY better WAY more fun experience and actually challenging for both sides without being IMPOSSIBLE to win. Every time i face even a 4m premade team and 4 pugs, its a steamrolling farm fest. A meta comp 4m team can dominate 8 aolo Q players easily. They are pretty much unstoppable with a good healer and a couple skank tank DPS. It is a simple and easy to implement fix....split the Q's and the game will flourish.
@@ivano1337 dont know why but my comment was deleted....ALL premades need to go...OR....there can be 2 solutions. Both easily implemented. One: Have groups of 3 or more players only matched with other groups of 3 or more played in the Q. A seperate Q for grouped players...simple as that...Two: Have a solo only player Q that everyone NOT in a group of 3 or more players is Qed into. Thats the only way swtor pvp survives. Its going down hill more and more every day.
Returning player, found your channel recently, nice to see pvp isnt completely dead
Thanks for listening! Yeah until the day they shut off the servers there will be pvp going on I hope :)
@@ivano1337 I basically only play PvP. I listened to the last podcast and 100% agree with what you guys said.
@@dsayiasdad8099 nice then I think you will enjoy the next episode as well 😉
Ain’t even watched yet but already know it’s gonna be dope hearing from a healer
Another good episode!
Thanks man

Yeah probably the hardest role in the game

Sounds like you need better team mates!
Yeah, I have noted a lot of toxicity, after some time I simply turned off pvp chat.

Thanks for the nice comment! Sandcrawler in Minecraft sounds awesome! Bet that took a while. Almost as long as farming pvp gear in swtor :D
Swtor Classic would work if they had actual resources. People downplay how impactful a Swtor classic would be from a gearing and variety perspective.
If done well a lot of people would play it, me included. If they repeat the same mistakes as on launch...maybe not for long though
Don't think we're getting SWTOR classic until servers shut down

8 man premades need to go, but 4mans have been in the game since launch and it was fine. Other reason people are quitting imo
