I can't believe how far B&S has come. I didn't find out about them until 2003. I was going through high school and they got me through some rough times. Glad they are still making music to this day
Dylan In The Movies is equally as good. But I'd say there is no stand out track on "Sinister" inasmuch as every track is perfect and the album is a true masterpiece and an all time classic. Cheers scoobtube5746 for positing the initial argument.
Merci pour cet upload. La qualité est bonne. J'avais écouté ce concert sur France Inter à l'époque. Merci à B&S pour leur musique. Merci à France Inter et Bernard Lenoir de m'avoir permis de les découvrir.
Thank you Vivianne for uploading it. This has to be one of my favorite Belle & Sebastian live show. A setlist full of amazing singles and the sound is so good, its really great to see them at their very beginings looking so young and shy, and with Stuart David
B&S genuinely were one of the best bands to come out of the 90s. Lyrically and musically superior to many of the other bands around at the time. I just wish more people had discovered them. Actually, or do I? Maybe it's nice to be part of a select, elite few who knowingly had a musically amazing time in the late 1990s
Never heard them until about 2012. Was at a friend's house and she was playing them during the afternoon. Didn't take too long until I had to ask what music it was. I couldn't catch all the lyrics but I could tell whoever wrote them was good...very good. And the melodies and musical arrangement was really wonderful. They rocked without being blunt about it. Have loved them ever since.
Brings back so many good memories...I was so into B&S at the turn of the millenial, seeing them live in San Francisco, LA, Chicago and Boston on the same tour. Oh to be carefree like that again! The only negative was Isobel Campbell's last show was the Boston show (and she showed her displeasure of being onstage).
Paper Boat! Nice to showcase the other Stuart

Actually I LOVE the VHS / low-fi aspect of this.
Was looking for an older concert and this totally fits the bill. Thanks a bunch for sharing!!!!
Beatrice Chavarría-VHS excellence. Cheers.

How ancient our youth looks now, but how great it still sounds... this is such a beautiful set, thanks for uploading
Amazing to remember how they were in that moment and to see how they have evolved now. Still the best.
This is great, a very important document of the earlier B&S years. Thanks for uploading.
great old arrangements, when a cd single meant something
Seeing Other People is B&S's crowning musical achievement. The best song on their best album. Prove me wrong.
Dylan In The Movies is equally as good.

You're wrong because Funny Little Frog exists.
If You Find Yourself Caught in Love is pure sonic joy.
Thanks for uploading, love this performance of one of my favorite bands

What is was to see them there?
of course it was magical ! especially because they were not as assured as they will be after. so there is a charm in that shyness.
Amo. Meu filho Haoni me apresentou. E nesse formato então vhs ficou mais nostálgico. Saudades 👍🥰

Them and Radiohead are my favorite from that decade. Radiohead is one of my favorite bands.

have to say it went a bit downhill after this... but oh! ...
what a selection of well crafted work presented here!
It's pretty much a shock at 27:50 when the cameraman goes all rockn'roll and the crowd clamors for more cowbell
anthology!! thanks for sharing

The audience don't know when Mayfly ends
Is that Stuart David singing Paper Boat?
Totally forgot about Stuart David
He didn't forget about you =]

Much prefer this Stuart to the prancing diva he is nowadays, still love the music though, will forever be my favourite band
