Great walk and I bet you hardly saw a soul. I've walked different parts of this as I've walked pretty much every hill in thr Rhondda, but great to see a long hike and a wild camp. People don't seem to realise that you don't need to head to the Brecon Beacons for a hike and wild camp.

If it wasn't for the industry, you could easily be in the Beacons. The scenery is stunning. Thanks for watching!

Some very good walking there Dave great edit and music too.
Fairly close to my son in law’s at Culverhouse cross too.
Certainly looks wild country these days although I’m sure it was industrial in the past.
    ATB 👌🍺

The mountains have always been wild in these valleys but yes, the valley floors were very industrial when the mines were open. But, nature is slowly taking back the land and with the tips re landscaped, in some places you wouldn't even know they were tips. Thanks for dropping by. Your son in law would love these hills.

It's amazing that your are walking amongst the valleys yet seem so remote Dave. Seeing you sat on the rock at the top of the Craig Ogwr and that road section below it so reminds me of the shot you took up on Hirwaun common years ago, I am sure you remember the shot. I am in between babysitting days this week and as its wet n windy out there I am having a Morgs fest..lol. I have your links on wa next to do bud. atb Al

The Ogmore and Upper Garw valleys are probably my favourites. One could easily be in the BBNP and if it wasn't for the industrialisation of our valleys, I feel certain that the transition of scenery would be seamless. The shot you refer to was actually on Graig Ogwr ridge and not Hirwaun. That was a lovely misty day and some surreal images! Enjoy the fest 😂

Streams look a bit fry. Any problem with sheep ticks?

Streams were running well John. Even the source I took from prior to my camp. I've never seen a sheep tick in all the time I've walked in the Valleys.
