Very true about tidying. Something iron or stone might work above the fireplace. I love the mood of the blue walls, sheers and a simple Christmas. I think it'll turn out better than you expect. ❤
You could always paint the oval table black. It would look very nice with the fireplace screen. Also, I believe that a cover/lidded basket would look best for the things you have in the basket between the chair and fireplace.
Hey Nikki, as you were talking about your decluttering phase and how you’ve used up all of your Christmas ornaments, but you have other trees to decorate… A fun thing to do with the kids is make ornaments like the old-fashioned stringing construction paper strips together or popcorn on a string or look up various TH-cam videos about ornament making with kids there’s probably tons of ideas. Just a thought since you said you didn’t really wanna buy anything new
Thanksgiving is our favorite holiday. To share a food, laughter and devotional and communion with family and friends. I remember the year after 33 years we moved from a smaller home to a bigger home and trying to decide where to put things and needing to fill extra space was a feat.. We love y'all a real Christmas 🎄. It's my favorite. God bless you and your family
Hi Nikki, Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! ❤ It's so lovely to watch you make your new house a beautiful home. I'm blessed to hear you want to paint your Grandma's dining set to make it more you. I think your Grandma would've been happy about that also. I want to encourage you to follow your heart. ❤
Hey Nikki, I like what you've done. The tress are pretty. Happy Birthday to your daughter hope she has a good one. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. So nice of you to include your neighbors.
Funny our Son Micah, and My husband have birthdays on and around our Canadian Thankshiving. A Grandson has a birthday Christmas Eve...so holidays are multifaceted at our place. Our first christmas in our home after 34 yrs in the heritage homeplace was awkward...where to put what in the new home was such a challenge ...mingled with tears of remembrance of the decades of Christmases in a heritage home, then moving into a classic contemporary home. Took time to re-think and take joy in the decorations for each season. Good video...Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours from a Canadian East Coaster
Hi Nikki. This is without a doubt my favorite time of the year. Time to thank God for the blessings he has given us. Of family and love. As we do all year round, but even more for being able to meet. Thank you because you are a great inspiration. Happy time to you and your family. Blessings and love always ❤🙏🏼🌹
Glad you are taking that picture back to the basement. Like the recliners around the fireplace. Something metal like wrought iron would look good over the fireplace and be safe.
We have found that the "Green Machine" works great for spills and doggie mistakes. By the way, I love that sweet little short haired dog you have. I just want to pick him up and cuddle him and show him love and affection. Sweet puppy!
Nikki - Hello. I enjoyed and can truly relate to much in your video. I hope you and your family have an incredible Thanksgiving in your new home. Have a lovely day. Blessings - Judith 🎭🎤
Hi Nikki your Christmas tree looks lovely. How nice for you and your family 1st Christmas in your new home. I like the way you have that room arranged and yes l would be worried about that picture above the fire. Two doggies cuddling together is gorgeous. Thanks Nikki lovely video. ❤❤
Your babies curling together is beyond sweet!

I like the look of the wood in the iron rack. It’s very rustic. Happy thanksgiving 🍁
Lady looks so happy galloping across your deck! She has really grown into her haircut. So cute!
