- Rest in piece, "LAUGH YOU STUPID MOTHERFUCKER!!!". Before Yakuza Kiwami came along, this was the first instance in the original game where you fight Majima toe-to-toe. He's been made MUCH more challenging in Kiwami especially on a new game on Ex-Hard and because even if you try and get him from behind, you'll never know when he's going to flinch and when he's going to tough it out with a combo.

Actually for me it was after finding him in a trunk of a Car a while before meeting the Florist. Also this really don't make sense. They could keep the first fight honestly where you fail but that's it and this one is a test to see how much you improved since then Instead of following him around everywhere. I do like the "I'm chilling thinking about a plan on how to get you to fight me" because it shows this right here.
@@MariusBoss11458 Yeah, even I, noted Majima enthusiast, think Majima Everywhere was implemented poorly in relation to the established storyline. I'm pretty sure it exists because Sega realized everyone loves him and they could make some money off of that. Which isn't like evil or anything but they could've done it better.
@@gaminggoddess85Yeah I agree. I do like the Majima Everywhere system. It's just that they could have changed the Conversation and stuff so it'll act like the Majima everywhere System happened. Also. If I were to go to West Park right now in my Game I'm gonna find Majima chilling. I think that happens because I've done everything with Majima everywhere for the Moment and I gotta progress through the story. And also Majima Everywhere gives me a bull ton of EXP. Btw I'm on the 50 EXP Upgrades that I gotta learn.

Dub still holds a special place in my heart.
Nobody denies that the excessive swearing in the dub to make it seem "grittier" is stupid. But we still love it, if you played it in 2006 it's what got yo uinto the the series; we can't be objective about it.

I think it would have been better if Majima's friendliness was a bit more ambiguous with the Majima Everywhere thing. This fight seems kinda jarring in comparison to all the high jinks you get with him before it happens.
AFRO THUNDER the majima everywhere cheapened his character for that very reason in this tbh. One moment he's caught you in a porn shop or posing as a hostess next thing you know he's all business (for the most part) with you and kidnapping haruka like wtf?

@Zakku The realest reason is Date being a useless asshole taking Haruka for a walk while he was supposed to hide her. Thanks Chaos it was Majima-gumi who found them first, and not the Omis or the triad. Not much of a kidnapping if you swoop the kid just from under the enemy's nose, don't you remember who untied Haruka? Meanwhile fuck Date he is the absolute worst.
Zakku I agree. They should have just rewritten this game instead of following the original games storyline, since it’s clear from Yakuza 0 that Majima isn’t a ruthless killer.

I tend to enjoy it more when looking at it that way.
I love anytime you get to fight against one of the previous games player characters and they retain their moves. I know this wasn't the case when Yakuza first came out, but now that Yakuza 0 came out, it feels good to fight him and see him use Slugger style.
The best example is probably from Yakuza 4, where you fight Kiryu as Saejima, because it was really unexpected cause that was never hinted at in any of the trailers, and he has so many of his iconic moves like the parry, the fucking Tiger Drop, and Red Heat.

If it helps, he cares more about the rush of the fight than the results. He's content whether he gets his face caved in or caves in his opponent's face.
Plus there's always 0 to show us Majima win fights.

He's never gone a hundred percent against Kiryu. He has no reason to. The RGG dev team has been giving him lots of love since 0 though and if they were to say that the serious Goro Majima without the Mad Dog persona was stronger than Kiryu, I wouldn't really doubt it.
When facing "Breaker" or "Thug" Majima, I can complete a full Rush or Brawler combo after a parry.
When facing "Slugger" Majima, a parry isn't rewarded with hitting a full combo from behind.
When facing "Mad Dog" Majima, a parry is sometimes rewarded by hitting a full combo from behind.
Is this your experience? Is there a way to parry "Slugger" Majima and complete a full combo from behind?
The problem with trying to do rush combos on sluggers back is because he gets super armor with his attacks, so it isn’t as feasible to chain combos with hitstun.
If memory serves, Slugger can be tiger dropped and parried, but the increased range of the bat means you have to be a distance away when Majima attacks.

I remember Captainepic3 video where he struggled so i can understand why majima is hard in the remake but he doesn't dodge as much as the original but is more aggressive and can be very sneaky with his attacks.
They even keep the original subtitle for the opening scene. Thanks SEGA
rewatching this, I saw the pitching machine heat action from the original. I'm glad it didn't actually get scrapped.
This fight was hard enough to beat while being under leveled and not having most of the moves you used on here

John Smith majima seemed to have gotten tired of being pushed around, so he was like "fuck it". That's pretty much what happened In Yakuza 0. But it still doesn't completely explain exactly why he turned into a nutjob. In Yakuza 0, he was cool, and the next thing you know, he snapped. It doesnt doesn't really make complete sense, but whatever. That's his story

@devilleon7 I have to ask, as I've recently picked up the game for Legend mode, have you ever had any trouble with Majima's trademark QTE where you dodge his dagger slices? In previous difficulty modes it wasn't so bad, but for some reason they amped up the difficulty of pulling them off 200% up from Hard. I'll admit I'm not the best player when it comes to this series, but I can't be the only one who thinks it's unfair.

I’ve heard it’s a case of them making all QTEs faster by a percentage for each difficulty , but since Majima’s QTE is already stupid fast, shit happens

Any tips on beating Slugger Majima? I can beat his other 3 attack styles but he whoops my arse with slugger. He does that crazy super fast one where Kiryu doesn’t have enough time to dodge and get clear
use rush style, just spam him with square trangle combo + circle leg strike, and then dodge away

That one is unlocked by default, you just need to unlock at least one bar of Climax Heat before being able to use it. You grab an enemy, and the next part is important: you press triangle when another enemy near you is about to land an attack on you, then it should work.

My majima everywhere is kinda stuck , he is nowhere to be found . Last i fought him was in front of millenniums tower when he was dressed as a police officer . Then i got a message from Nishida saying someone wants to meet kiryu at shine . But there is no majima on shine . Mind helping me? I even make a new game mode plus for it

Assuming you've already unlocked the move, you hold R1 to lock onto an enemy, then press circle right before an attack lands on you.

Honestly, I never got the whole point of Majima beating up that underling. If this is supposed to be an in-universe lesson on "Boss's word is law", then wouldn't that mean Majima getting smacked by that baseball was deliberate in that he wanted to entertain Kiryu with a comedy act before getting to fight him, which that underling ruined because he didn't laugh?
Angel IV Esguerra the joke is that majima got hit on accident, and he started laughing it off. Notice how as soon as majima laughs everyone starts laughing, because since the boss is laughing about it it's okay for us to laugh too. Notice how some of them also seem to be forcing the laugh, because they know that even if it wasn't funny it's the respectful thing to do. Since that one guy wasn't laughing it was seen as disrespectful to majima and as such, proceeded to be taught a lesson.

Eduardoeov I'm saying Receive You The Prototype never appeared in this fight even in the Japanese version, it's always been Receive You Kiwami.
So they really wanted to replace the theme from the original game then.
That theme was awesome though, one of the best themes from the whole series i would say.
SLIGHT SPOILER: If you get Majima Everywhere to rank SSS, you fight him in the batting center again with the original track.

I like how majima has his fighting styles from 0 (sadly he doesn't have breaker, the boss fight with those two break dancers have it.
He uses Breaker in the strip club and dance club "Majima Everywhere" encounters.

The dodging is wonderful, maybe the advantage of controllers. I cannot even dodge a simple attack with keyboards.
This is just the type of game that needs to be played with a controller.
Personally, I like the keyboard controls. Theyre fluid and work fine.
