Another song that's exactly a prime example to P.O.D. Youth of the Nation is Rise Against Make It Stop. The late nineties and early two thousands were harsh for high schoolers during those times. But these days I look back to high school days and try comparing to the cr@p that's going now.. and I just shake my head just say "WTF!?!?". Best lesson and good advise.. "When you take away methods of discipline towards the youth.. the youth shall walk all over you without care or regret". Problem is that's exactly what's happening on an extreme level.

I remember when this song came out. The group had already received minor airplay with the song Alive. That earned them a guest spot on The David Letterman show. That audience totally missed the big picture too as the group sang the song backed by the Harlem Boys Youth Choir. It was a nice addition and received great applause. I don't know if it really helped the song but it did lighten the mood of it slightly.
