***MRM*** Produced by Dave Edmunds ("I Hear You Knockin" -song) The FABULOUS THUNDERBIRDS Guitar Player is Jimmie Vaughan, STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN'S big brother..... My 1986 Harley Davidson Electra Glide was used in this MTV video, I still have the bike!
Hey Ty, ur reaction 2this was priceless! I'm so glad u enjoyed this song as I'm only a young 45yrs but, MTV back in the day made a great babysitter & this was 1of my favorite songs! I've been missen U 😢 ur okc 😇
Theatre Drakul In this video, that is correct. Jimmie Vaughan actually left the Fabulous Thunderbirds to do The Vaughan Brothers album with younger brother Stevie Ray. When Stevie Ray died in that crash in August 1990, 28 years ago, Jimmie Vaughan went on to pursue his solo career. From my research, Jimmie never rejoined The Fabulous Thunderbirds. Jimmie did play a guitar solo on fellow Austin, Texas guitarist Eric Johnson's tribute to Stevie Ray, SRV, from Eric's Venus Isle album. But, Jimmie Vaughan has not been part of the Fab T-Birds since 1990. So this video is kind of a time capsule. In fact, I believe none of the rest of the band members in this video are still with the band, except lead singer Kim Wilson. (A few of them from this 80's video have since passed away as well.)
When I was in high school football this was one of the tracks they played while we were warming up and the stands were filling up. Sooo much nostalgia. Lol hadn't seen the vid to it until now.
I grew up in Austin, and they would play for every holiday, festival, etc in town. Also got to see Stevie Ray in an impromptu set on 6th Street. Awesome family talent.
Had this on cassette. Has one of my fave lyrics because it's so random: "I'd lie down on a pile of burning money that I'd earned and not even worry about getting burned."
Man you don't even KNOW how much I wanted to grow up and work at THIS construction yard when I was younger LOL these girls were beautiful and that music hit me right in the soul......love that sound!!!
Which led to Stevie stealing his guitar and playing it in the (dark) bedroom closet so that Jimmie wouldn't hear it. This ended up part of why Stevie was so adept playing without watching his neck or frets, and would often shut his eyes on stage for that same feeling of solitude of just playing for himself in the closet.
A friend introduced me to this year's ago ,but I realized that it was a remake of Muddy Waters song " Just To Be With You " & the harmonica playing is great, check it out
I remember this song from the 80s and it really brings back some good memories . All the clubs were jamming it because of it's beat and the dance floor stayed covered .
50sbaby 🙋🏽♀️😎the Doctors at Arizona University’s hospital designated this as my second son personal song! He was born with five holes in his heart, he a Laron Dwarf, wasn’t supposed to live passed five. The other children in our family born with his defect all passed away the oldest was eleven, mine is fourty three ♥️ has been Mr Kentucky Muscle five times rofl ! He is in the New England Journal of Medicine as a living miracle ♥️😎
I was lucky enough that I got to experience the greatest years of the greatest music ever. Late fifties to the middle eighties. Music never has been or never will be that great ever again.
I’ve always loved the Fabulous Thunderbirds, I saw them live once when they opened for Stevie Ray Vaughn back in 1988. At the Concord Pavilion in California. They were awesome.
Just one of the many things I love about Ty- “it’s was a fun song”.. 🤷🏼♀️ Tells it to you straight, but we already know that! 🤣 Sending love always Ty- 💛🤘🏼✌️
You should review Tick Tock. It's by Stevie Ray and his brother. I believe it was the last one or one the last time he sang with his brother. Something like that. The song is very profound and timeless.
On your reaction video for Tick Tock, you mentioned that it was labelled as 'Vaughn Brothers". It was because that's who it was. Stevie and his big brither Jimmy who is the guitar player for The Fabulous Thunderbirds.
The Vaughan Brothers, Stevie Ray and Jimmy, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and ZZ Top will take you to Texas every time ! Love the Fab T Birds! God bless you all and thanks for the music. Amen.
Baby It's You by Smith. Beautiful blonde with a beautiful, strong voice. The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore by the Walker Brothers. It's so haunting and beautiful, I told my wife I wanted it played at my funeral.
If you watched Married with Children this was an ongoing favorite of Al Bundy's. Very 80's. 1987. Got lots of radio play. Takes me back to the summer of 1987.
jean ellis Was in the Fab T-Birds in this video. Has not been since 1990. Jimmie left the Fab T-Birds in 1990 to do The Vaughan Brothers album with SRV. When Stevie Ray died in August 1990, Jimmie pursued his solo career. So, he's in this video from the 80s. Not with the band now.
The Fabulous Thunderbird were the fall back go to band when you were between gigs and needing money. Stevie Ray and his brother would at times take turns as lead.
I am really enjoying your videos. I have seen the Fabulous Thunderbirds in concert too. Opening for Stevie Ray Vaughn. They are a great kinda blues rockabilly group. They are fun.
Lead guitarist for The Fabulous Thunderbirds. Is the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan older brother. Didn't know if you knew it or not. God bless you brother.
funny detail... I always found it funny Jimmie and Kim wearing completely opposite suits.... Kim had red with Black Shirt and shoes while Jimmie had a black Suit with a red shirt and red shoes lol....
Check out Stevie Ray Vaughn and his brother Jimmie Vaughn, who plays guitar in this video, playing a double neck guitar together live on stage. You'll be amazed.
I had met Jimmy Vaughn years ago he was a pompous jerk but when I met Stevie Ray Vaughan he was a genuinely nice guy who cared what I!!!!!!!!! thought!!!!
Back in 99 or early 2000 The singer of Jackyl went on the Tom Green Show on MTV. He literally sawed Toms desk in half with a chainsaw(unplanned). That was the most angry I have ever seen Tom Green :)
I’m a recent subscriber. I love how you are opening yourself to new music. It’s a lot of fun and uplifting. Thanks. I would love to see your reaction to Barns Courtney “Glitter & Gold”. It has a message I think you’ll appreciate it.

The Fabuous Thunderbirds gave one of the best concerts I've seen in Denver in the early 90s. What a great time.
As far as I'm concerned this video is what a Harley REALLY cool
Jimmie Vaughn with the sweet licks and the coolness of Kim Wilson on vocals.
The lead guitar player in this video is Jimmy Vaughn, Steve Ray's brother. I love this song!
❤️👍
I took this song for granted in the 80's. Compared to today's music, it's Mozart.
You should do The Vaughan Brothers - Tick Tock (as has been mentioned, lead guitar in this video is SRV's brother. They did one album together).
That was another Texas band featuring Jimmy vaughn, Stevie Ray's brother.
The Allman Brothers Band - Midnight Rider
Yes!
The newer, bluesier version. WAAAAAY better.
Whipping Post, and In Memory of Elizabeth Reed

If you liked that try listening to ZZ TOP sharp dressed man

Man you don't even KNOW how much I wanted to grow up and work at THIS construction yard when I was younger LOL these girls were beautiful and that music hit me right in the soul......love that sound!!!
Jimmy Vaughn, according to SRV's biography, used to beat up SRV for playing his guitar without permission.
The guitar player in this song is Stevie Ray's older brother, Jimmy Vaughan. He taught Stevie how to play, and then Stevie took it to the next level.
A friend introduced me to this year's ago ,but I realized that it was a remake of Muddy Waters song " Just To Be With You " & the harmonica playing is great, check it out
I loved the way you said "I have nothing else to say". More people who do the reaction videos need to tell the truth ...like you do.
Stevie Ray Vaughan brother in black suit red shirt!
The song was the theme for an 80's movie starring 2 old school actors Burt Lancaster, and Kurt Douglas. It is named Tough Guys
That would be KIRK Douglas, not Kurt!!
The guitar work in this is great.
Would love for you to react to Golden Earring - Twilight Zone.
Yesssss!
And Radar Love.
And lunatic fringe
@@8ballbowler Golden Earring did a cover of the song Lunatic Fringe? I thought only Red Ryder did that one.
Any Golden Earing
I remember this song from the 80s and it really brings back some good memories . All the clubs were jamming it because of it's beat and the dance floor stayed covered .

I was lucky enough that I got to experience the greatest years of the greatest music ever. Late fifties to the middle eighties. Music never has been or never will be that great ever again.
This was my shit when I was a kid. Wrap It Up was another one from them.
You probably heard the song in the movie "Ricochet" or one of the many times it was used on "Married... With Children".
The T-birds love them
The guitarist for The Fabulous Thunderbirds is Jimmie Lee Vaughan; Stevie Ray Vaughan's older brother
I remember going to all kinds of events as a kid and the reverb in this song always carried across stadiums like magic.
This was also in the final scene credits of the 1986 comedy 'Tough Guys' with Kirk Douglas and Burt Lancaster. Very appropriate 😂
I’ve always loved the Fabulous Thunderbirds, I saw them live once when they opened for Stevie Ray Vaughn back in 1988. At the Concord Pavilion in California. They were awesome.
This song pops into my mind on a regular bases for the last 30 something years.
Just one of the many things I love about Ty- “it’s was a fun song”.. 🤷🏼♀️ Tells it to you straight, but we already know that! 🤣 Sending love always Ty- 💛🤘🏼✌️

jean ellis Was in the Fab T-Birds in this video.
Has not been since 1990.
Jimmie left the Fab T-Birds in 1990 to do The Vaughan Brothers album with SRV.
When Stevie Ray died in August 1990, Jimmie pursued his solo career.
So, he's in this video from the 80s.
Not with the band now.
In case you didn't know the guitarist is the older brother of Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Chris Stapleton "Might As Well Get Stoned "
The Fabulous Thunderbird were the fall back go to band when you were between gigs and needing money. Stevie Ray and his brother would at times take turns as lead.
Stevie Ray Vaughn was this lead singer's brother and he was even better, though I love this song. Texas rock.

Say them opening for Stevie Ray Vaughn at a free beach concert on South Padre Island. Not long after, poor Jimmie's brother died.
I had met Jimmy Vaughn years ago he was a pompous jerk but when I met Stevie Ray Vaughan he was a genuinely nice guy who cared what I!!!!!!!!! thought!!!!
How about reacting to "Lumberjack" by Jackyl!!!!
That would be awesome. Dude playing a chainsaw lol
Back in 99 or early 2000 The singer of Jackyl went on the Tom Green Show on MTV. He literally sawed Toms desk in half with a chainsaw(unplanned). That was the most angry I have ever seen Tom Green :)
Must Check Out The Fabulous Thunder Birds "Wait On Time" you know that is Stevie Ray Vaughan's Older Brother....Jimmy Vaughan

I would love to see your reaction to Barns Courtney “Glitter & Gold”. It has a message I think you’ll appreciate it.

I like this kinda music. Here's one for you,..."Spirit in the Sky"...Norman Greenbaum. Has a couple of theological questions I'd like your opinion on.
Love the 80's LOL!! Jimmie Vaughan = guitar magic!
That just might be Pinky Tuscadero from happy days
