Last week these same IDIOT REPUBLICANS were telling us Biden wanted to take away their GAS STOVES when all that really happened was there was a report that found that gas stoves produce indoor pollution and that there are ZERO EMMISION OPTIONS. No one was going to come to your home and remove your stove and replace it with an electric model. You may see financial incentives to buy an electric stove but nothing more. Same with DISHWASHERS. There may incentives to buy a more efficient model. John Kennedy saw an opportunity to get you riled up over nothing and you fell for it. Republicans depend on you to be too IGNORANT OR LAZY to check their work.
Americans should contact their elected representatives and deliver to them the same message Kennedy is giving - representatives should hear from taxpayers/voters whom they serve. When will Biden admin and Dems focus on real issues?

I have been using JETDRY for 5 years now, WOW what a difference. It actually works great. All 5 new dishwashers since 2010 SUCK without it. Not sure if it saves me money or not tho.🤷🏻♂️

Current dishwashers use less water 💦, much less than hand washing. They also sanitize the dish ware. Washing machines also use less water. We’ve been using energy efficient appliances for well over 10 years.

My washing machine has an actual agitator and uses WATER instead of being a stupid small barrel that "saves water" and cleans nothing.
My dishwasher cleans my dishes on the FIRST cycle through, and I save water by not having some piece of junk that gets the dishes wet and has to be recycled multiple times like some of my "woke" friends do.
My car uses GAS and I give too poops about having something that is loaded with lithium batteries that not only cost thousands of dollars to replace but can BLOW UP in an accident.

Our rural town is wasting $350,000 on a electric car charging station, that will charge 2 cars at a time. There may be 10 people in town with electric cars. $350,000 could have filled massive invading potholes or half the roads in this town, but to hell with us little people.

I have to wash my clothes twice to get them clean. The government needs to put their focus on things that really matter, like cutting their own budget, to prevent the constant rising of the debt ceiling..
I bought a Speed Queen washer to keep from doing so many loads since the washers on high load only fill up halfway, if that.
Don't forget how the new washers don't RINSE the detergent out of clothes properly! New washers just SPRAY a bit of water on the spun clothes instead of filling the washer with clean rinse water. I have to run the machine a second time with just water to get the suds out! Where's the savings?

If Senator Kennedy ran for president I would vote for him. Back in the 60s, when I grew up, the creek that ran by our house ran lime green. The color of the creek was due to the discharge of a large local factory. Since that time the creek has been cleaned up, the water runs clear, wildlife has returned, beaver and muskrat make their home along the creek. We have made tremendous progress, I guess you need to have lived nearly 70 years to see it.

I don't use mine for this exact reason. I've ended up hand washing and use the dishwasher as a glorified drying rack. I paid over $500 for a dish rack.

It's what happens when Congress cedes its legislative powers to executive agencies. Laws should never be written to permit bureaucrats to define meanings and standards without Congressional approval of the proposed rule. It's right there in the beginning of the first Article of the Constitution. "All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States …" That means none of the powers can be given to a Secretary or Administrator.

I value life more than those of my age group…I value my freedoms as an American born citizen more than most of my age group. I have to spend forever pre-rinsing all the dishes and you might as well just wash them yourself at that point. I think ours only runs for about an hour to an hour-and-fifteen minutes but it’s been so long since we’ve run it that I forgot! If our dishes aren’t already clean, they won’t get clean, and they end up with massive streaks of soap all over a lot of them anyway-no matter what type of soap we use, so we’d have to rinse them again afterwards too. It’s craziness!
Now I have to wash my dishes 2 times. Woo Hoo. Waste more energy. So dumb.

Dryer (same set) gave up and we are ready to buy a new set, but I am struggling mentally about how new and "cool" appliances are going to better (as advertised) clean. Will they? I do not own a dishwasher because almost 50 years ago I bought my first home and installed the best-rated model Consumer Reports had tested.
Everything I put into it came our either damaged or still dirty.
It didnt clean the pots and pans but the high pressure jets broke a lot of glassware on the top rack. The drying cycle was so hot it melted anything plastic..
The figures on hand washing dishes using 17 gallons strike me as highly suspicious.
Last summer the drought was so severe our sand point started sucking air, and we had to use "gray water" to flush the toilet.
That means all the water I used to wash dishes had to be collected in dishpans, dumped into a five gallon bucket, and carried to the bathroom. I never filled more than one five gallon bucket.
This water shortage, and the efforts I employed to get through it, went like this:
Shower water used for bathing was retained in the bathtub, detergent was added, and then a pile of laundry thrown in. After washing the clothes in the bath tub, that water was also used to flush the toilet, and the wet laundry was transferred to the washing machine to undergo a rinse and spin cycle.The water from the washing machine was collected in a 20 gallon tub and also used to flush the toilet, or to water the plants.
My water softener system actually records water use and we went form 130+ gallons of water a day down to 24.
My children all use their supposedly high efficiency dishwashers and all of them run for hours. Literally. I was babysitting my grandchildren the other evening and my daughter & son-in-law turned the dishwasher on before they went out. By the time they came home 2 1/2 hours later, that machine was still roaring away. How in the world is that efficient? It takes me less than ten minutes to wash a day's worth of dishes by hand.
I am just f***ing amazed that the federal government concerns itself with dishwashing machines.

Since all the new so called "energy efficient" appliances have come around, my toilets always get clogged, my clothes have soap still in them and I have to do an extra rinse which costs more. My dishwasher I only use to put cups and silverware in now more to sterilize them. It doesn't clean actual dishes!!

My friends son used to waste many gallons of water, cleaning out the glass and plastic containers to put into recycling. He was 25 yrs old… I made him stop one day after watching him waste a good 5 gallons of water on recycling containers. I asked young Liberal… which is more important, clean recycling containers or having water for drinking or bathing…. He got a bit upset because he thought he was saving the world… 😂
