Faygo is moving from more energetic beats, to beats that are more vibey and he's relying way more on his lyrics and vocals. Despite setting himself up for a more lyrical route, his lyricism is arguably worse than it was back when he used to let the beats do a lot of the heavy-lifting. It's almost as if he gave up the lyricism and energetic beats for nothing in return and he lost a lot of his charm as a result. The songs just don't hit like they used to. They just seem dull and manufactured. I blame Travis.
I feel like in my opinion you guys are close minded and don’t let artist develop and grow. He wanted to work on quality and work on his mainstream presence. Saying where this old faygo at stunts his growth as an artist and at the end of the day the project my not be for you.
My main issue is that 90% of these songs are super slow and just boring to sit down and listen to. Overall though, it’s not completely trash and the couple of songs I like I REALLY like.
I think it was an experimental album more than anything . I didn’t hate it and I definitely think there are some good tracks. I think this album will definitely be important in mastering his own sound and the next project will definitely be 10/10
