    Hmm Kunoichi is a "female ninja" and they aren't rare so much as not talked about or documented. Given the time and the place in society women held it wouldn't look good for women to out smart a any man of the Shogunate or Clans. Japan is a save face type of culture. They will lie or completely cover up such dealings with infiltrators. Especially, those that got so ...close . And yes the best way to get information from a member of a Shogunate was to sleep with them. So it was quite easy to come in as say a courtisen and stroke a military leaders ego enough to get some details of their teams course of action in war. Also, as a side not most "Ninja" were farmers that littered the countryside where most battle were held. So, the life of a ninja was as much in plain sight as it was under concealment.

      Kunoichi is the name of a female ninja, not female ninjas

    • @bryanelexander2978
      @bryanelexander2978 5 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@theonetrueeggroll4252 Here's an extra wrapping for you Mr. Eggroll, because I did state that Kunoichi called for female ninja's. Also, you are both wrong and right. Yes, Kunoichi is the name given to a female that was trained as a ninja, but there are more than one that held that title. Also, if you know the Japanese language (as I do to a degree) Kunoichi is bothconsided plural and singular in context.

    • @atsukorichards1675
      @atsukorichards1675 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Eggroll & Elexander, Ku-no-ichi (くノ一) is considered as a female ninnjya (I don't know about the plural form). Originally it was used as a slang for a woman, because the kanji Woman (女) can be separated into 3 parts which resemble those 3 letters to be read as Ku (く) - no (ノ) - ichi (一). The word appeared as a female ninnjya in a novel in 1960s, and started to spread.

      kunoichi were spys that gathered intelligence and did assassinations, they were femme-fatales, often slept with high ranking figures and get them to reveal information of high value to the kunoichi's master, they also killed the high ranking figures in the middle of the night.

    I think that she was not returned to her family home after her husband died, because she was already working under Takeda's order. In that time, a war like that would bring a lot of resources and power, and that's why she was recruited by Shingen in order to gather power to himself, but, as soon she glimpse the opportunity, she sized the power to herself... Then I believe in the line that Shingen's a woman.

    Lady ninja are called kunoichi, traditionally they were equal in training and still are, the culture didn't vanish, it keeps adapting and now serves in such roles as executive protection and corp security. As far as the lady vanishing, she prob changed her name and tossed misidrection stories out and went to work for a dif lord, whoever suddenly started doing better in a far off area is prob where she ended up. If you think you know where a ninja is, you're def wrong and posibly screwed. Try playing chess w a kunoichi, just when it looks like you're winning, you've lost and you hear 'check mate', and that was a 12 yr old girl raised in the culture. I am not ninja, I am part of the culture, the larger warrior mystic culture that ninjutsu is. Btw good vid, keep up the good work. (Noone bother asking me anything, this info was given to allow popl a better understanding of the truth, I will not reply to any questions)
