After Jane Died, the "clean up guy" was suppose to be Saul, but Bob Odenkirk couldn't make the shoot that day, so they had to hire someone to do that scene, that's where Jonathan Banks got casted and it was one of the best things that could've happen.

i think it is very interesting that on shows like Breaking Bad, if a character does something stupid, we say "i cant believe Walt would do this, im actually mad"
but on bad shows, or in bad written episodes/seasons, for example GoT season 8, we say "i cant believe the writers would do this to the character"
goes to show how good Breaking Bad really is. We almost forget someone wrote that and believe its like a reality show.

Although Mike was right about Walt's arrogance and pride he didn't factor in the fact if Walt just knew his place and kept in line - Gus would have killed Jesse. When Jesse was beaten by Hank he threatened giving Heisenberg to the police as his "Get out of jail free" card. If Gus caught wind of that, Jesse would have been killed. Walt took disfavor from Gus by firing Gale to hire Jesse. And - of course - the "Jesse versus the two drug dealers" incident was another time Walt took disfavor from Gus to protect Jesse. We could add Walt knowing about Jesse stealing meth to sell on the side. Again - things were not going well in the lab and if Gus caught wind of that ...
Mike hated leaving his grand daughter at the park but I believe he only did it because he had hope he could gather money a third time for her.
Walt took Mike's gun for a reason. I believe Walt was on the fence over killing Mike as a loose end. He definitely wanted Mike's legacy team dead and Mike's cooperation would have given Walt reason to spare Mike's life. Even so, Walt still felt bad over killing Mike. RIP Mike.

Walt and Gus were on good terms before Walt ran over the gangbangers to save Jesse. After that, Fring first tried to replace Walt with Gale and then with Jesse, fully planning on killing Walt asap. At that point, Walt's only option for protecting himself was to take Gus out first.

Nice safe underground lab, $7.5 million each per year, no worrying about getting meth precursors, no worrying about rivals trying to kill you, no worrying about getting caught, work for the nicest drug kingpin on the planet (as long you're not threatening his operation)... Jesse ruined it all with his need to sell to the group and get all emotional about kids. R. Mira To be completely technical, when looking at it from Gus’s point of view Jesse and Walter were not justified in killing those two dealers. They had both just made an agreement with Gus that they would keep the peace, and Jesse broke this agreement, leading Walt to break it as well in order to save him. Yes the dealers killed Andrea’s brother, but all personal feelings aside that doesn’t give Jesse a license to kill and break his promise. With Gus, business is business. The fact is Gus was never planning on killing Walt until he personally murdered two of Gus’s employees. That he did it to save Jesse is irrelevant, he broke his word and violated a boundary that was clearly set. On top of that, Jesse was stealing pounds of meth from Gus every week as well and Walt knew this, yet another example of these two poisoning their relationship with Gus. The fact is Walt and Jesse are 100% responsible for the deterioration of their relationship with Gus.

Mike didn't deserve it? Dude, he probably killed over 100 people, he was going to kill Walt at the lab but Jesse managed to kill Gale just in time to save his live. He also (selfishly) tried to sell all the meth without Walts consent, not giving a fuck about Walt. So yeah, their relationship was far from great. There was no need to kill him at that point but he was far away from being a good guy. You could say that he did it all for his granddaughter but than you can make the same argument for Walt. You can't justify being a hitman with "I did it to make money for my granddaughter".

Mike is just as bad as everyone else, if not worse. His kill count is definitely the highest. BTW, I love Mike, but let's be reasonable here. Even Jesse is far from innocent. He's done some horrible things. Hell, forget the fact he's killed people, he actually went into an AA meeting of full mind and body and tried to sell drugs to recovering addicts. As a former abuser I can tell you straight up that is one of the dirtiest things a person can do.

People need to stop saying Mike's right in his speech. Walt had absolutely no choice but to kill Gus. The whole downfall between Walt and Gus started out with Jesse going after Gus' men that had the kid working for them. Walt had no choice but to save Jesse and later on save himself and his family! Gus was clearly trying to get rid of Walt asap in season 4 and Walt was smart enough to catch onto that. It had nothing to do with his pride or ego it was literally either Gus dies or both Walt and Jesse die. All that aside what Walt did this episode was so unnecessary and I absolutely hated his guts when he did that.

Sorry, but I think Mike was wrong. Ever since Walt killed those dealers to save Jessie, Gus was going to kill him ASAP. You can’t really blame Walt for killing Gus. To me that wasn’t a ‘know your place’ issue, he saved his lab partner, then himself. One could argue that Mike was the one who fucked up here with trying to pay his men instead of killing them. That was the thing that backfired in this episode, almost getting him caught, and destroyed his efforts to leave his granddaughter money. He didn’t have to die (unless you want no aftermath for killing his men), but Mikes own actions and choices got him fucked. Mike lost. Yeah, Walt killed Gus and things would have been better for Mike if he didn’t, but Mikes handling of things after Gus died is what directly fucked him. What I’m saying is just a grain of salt to a beloved characters final words. Believe it or not, not everything is entirely Walt’s fault. Which is what Mike believed.
