The point of visiting Wadi Rum is to admire the stunning beauty of this desert, the changing light in the course of the day, listen to the silence... Feeling small and vulnerable (as we are) in the wild is something we should all have to experience, just to remind us of what we are. It's the experience of humility. The other major reason to go to Wadi Rum is to meet the Bedouins and to learn about their traditional way of life. After watching this video, i just cannot wait to be there in a small, simple camp, drinking tea by the fire and sleep in a cave and under the stars, away from this luxury nonesense.
Holy Mother of God! Mars, Full moon night, RAINBOW morning!!? Beautifully lit hills!! It's a photographer's dream travel moment. No wonder David Lean & Ridley Scott went ape for the location.
YOOO… imagine going to that beautiful desert and just sleeping and waking up in this over the top room. That chandelier has me ☠️. It’s your adventure though!
Yes those robe jackets were the best! Honestly if we were heading home we would have snagged a pair. It would be great for Canadian camping 😆 thanks for watching 😊
Hi Nicole and Mico 👋 yours is a very well-done video. The filming is great and really highlights the beauty of the resort and the landscape 🤩 I recently discovered this place on TH-cam and would love to go in the near future hopefully!! You guys really showed how awesome it is and I cant wait to experience it myself. Your back-story in the description is really fascinating how you changed your lives to travel and vlog - would you share what inspired you to do so? I also love photography and travel and hope to share that as well. Great job, you guys seem very happy and positive smile 😊 ~Amy
Hi Amy! It is such an incredible place and was definitely a highlight of our time in Jordan. I think what inspired us to make a drastic change in our lives and travel full-time was our love for learning and a pull to try a really new way of life. For many years we have wanted to try a lifestyle that was very different from the one we had been living in Canada so we could learn more about ourselves and the world. It took a lot of hard work, but we are so lucky we have the opportunity to try this different way of living!
So happy I found your channel! This place must have been rather extraordinarily surreal experience. How did you find/come across this as an option for you travels?
Hey, thanks for watching!! Jordan was always on our bucket list because of Petra, and once we started looking into what to do there we dug into Wadi Rum and wanted the full experience! We have a friend in Jordan who recommended Memories Aicha to us and was it ever an amazing choice!
Did you have that area all to yourself? Great scenery! Friends and I spent a weekend this summer in a yurt. It would have been cool to have a clear roof. (Also, that weekend was decidedly not cool, but one of the heat waves we had!)
There were other bubble domes and tents rented out while we were there but it was pretty quiet. They are slowly seeing more tourists come back, but it's been a slow process. At sunrise we felt like we had the desert to ourselves! Somehow that made the desert seem even bigger. A yurt sounds amazing! We have always wanted to spend some time in one. Sounds like we should try to find one with temperature control 😂
@@nicoleandmico could you please share which month you visited? perhaps it was their low season. Also, how was the weather there, especially during the day? I hear it can be quite hot in the summer of course! thanks guys, keep travelling :)
We were there in November of 2021. The hotel was a little bit quiet that night but the day before and earlier in the week they were full! We had a great time and the weather was wonderful. The nights and morning were a little chilly but the daytime was perfect 👌
@@nicoleandmico Sounds amazing. It's probably more tolerable to go during the winter than it is in the summer ! Thanks for your reply, hopefully I will be able to visit there soon :)
Love your video!! You inspired us to stay in Wadi Run luxury tent! We're going to Jordan in mid October of this year and wondering if you can give us some tips on best way to get to Petra and Wadi Rum. We plan on staying overnight at one of the Wadi Rum luxury camps (perhaps even Memories Aisha luxury camp) and need some guidance on transportation. We have 3 days 2 nights to spend in Jordan. Your help is much appreciated!!
Hello!! We’ve been so excited to check you guys out 🙌🏼 And 30 seconds in we already love what we see!! This place looks absolutely INCREDIBLE - I don’t think I’ve seen a more beautiful place to stay in a loooong time and that dome view blew my mind 😱 The desert is stunning, it really does look like you’re on another planet especially at sunset and sunrise 🌅. All the food looked freaking tasty 🤤 Thanks for showing us around! New friends and subs here!! Emily and Tom ☺️
Awe thank you so much you guys! We are glad you enjoyed - Jordan just completely blew us away and we were glad to share! Also, we are loving your central america content! 🙌 awesome!
@@nicoleandmico Jordan looks INCREDIBLE! I can´t wait to go one day and live my best Madmax life out there. Aww thanks for watching guys!! That means so much to us :)
This resort was called Memories Aicha Luxury Camp and they were amazing! You can book them either on their website or places like booking.com. 100% recommended!
So happy to have found this video I am planning a trip and trying to decide on which camp to stay in. How many nights did you stay? is one night enough? Thank you!
Hi. I realize this is a year later but I’m headed to Jordan in March. Can you tell me the name of this camp and did you stay there as part of a tour? Thanks. Memories Aisha Luxury ?
Hey there! We used a combination of busses and hired cards/drivers. We found transportation around Jordan to be quite expensive, so it is definitely a good idea to organize your route efficiently so you don't backtrack. Thankfully, the country is really quite small so there are no huge journeys needed!
Wadi Ram is also known for the remnants of old civilization called the Ad tribes, these ancient people were giants that live in Iram of Lofty Pillars known as Wadi Ram now. In muslim tradition/belief these civilization was destroyed for disobedience to god messenger Hud pbuh. We believe this is a damned place and it's not a suitable place to hang out for recreational. Instead we were teached if we are ever to pass this place this place we should weep, and fear of the wrath of god, and we shall not take any source of food or water from the body of water from the ruined place, coz its a cursed and damned place.

We don't really judge people based on their ideal version of travel on this channel...
It's just like mars plant😮
Beautiful guys another bucket list location....thanks for taking us along. Stunning to have the rainbow!
Thanks for watching Jenn and Leon!!

Just came back from Jordan, Wadi Rum is otherworldly. Petra and the Dead Sea make Jordan a must for anyone's bucket list.

Hi 👍😊
This resort was called Memories Aicha Luxury Camp and they were amazing! You can book them either on their website or places like booking.com. 100% recommended!
Looks a lot like Arizona and Monument Valley.
Sounds like we are going to have to visit Arizona sometime!
Wadi Rum is Wadi Rum.
❤❤❤.
When was this visit? End of December?
So happy to have found this video I am planning a trip and trying to decide on which camp to stay in. How many nights did you stay? is one night enough?

I hope the aircon was OK
Aircon was amazing but we didn't need it, it can be cold during the day when there are clouds and the evening was chilly!
Fun fact: the martian movie 2015 was filmed in wadi rum!
So cool! We are pretty sure one of the Star Wars movies was as well. It is the perfect landscape for movies
This was where Matt Damon was lost 😂
Still couldn't find him 😂
its called vadi rum not body 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Not too sure where you hear body in the video 🤔
