who but Prokofiev could come up with a transcription of this calibre? these pieces are actually re-envisionings of the original orchestral work!

When I first heard the recording of these works, played by a Russian pianist, I got the music and tried to play some of them. It was an uphill battle.
All I can say is that I think this transcription is one the best I ever heard of his greatest work.
It still deeply moves me.
