In this episode Tommy and I make a new discovery of a hidden gem in plain sight. Warbird Park is located near the Myrtle Beach Airport and features retired fighter jets from America's Armed Forces as well as memorials honoring those who served at what once was a US Military Base. This park encompasses acres of plaques that commemorate Military and Civilian Service through out our nation's war history, including a World War II and a 9/11 memorial. Admission is free to this park and it is so worth the visit.
Afterward we visited Murrell's Inlet for lunch at one of our favorite restaurants in the area, Graham's Landing, and took a walk around the marsh to visit the local wildlife. It was the perfect two-day vacation at one of our favorite beach destinations on the east coast.

You would have enjoyed that park. Especially the WW2 memorial. It was well done.

That first plane looked like an A10 Warthog. But that's not what the plaque read. Hmmm
Now this is a way to get me to that beach
