Took me about a week to get kyber1 with nothing but potatoes playing with random people. Nothing is more frustrating playing with randoms that don’t follow objectives.
This game has immense potential. I’ve spent about 70 hours on switch so far, got to Kyber 1 and quit ranked because it can be legitimately infuriating. I’d hate to see the game die, and I hope they fix these important issues.
Look if you put a reward in rank, I'd rather it be easier. If there were no rewards I would be fine with it being stricter. I'm too old to grind for it.
I have a 65% win ratio with over 1000 games played, and I struggled to get to kyber 1, I will say, I didnt start seriously playing the game until about 2.5 - 3 weeks ago, so the last week is seriously the most competitive as everyone is trying to make Kyber I. I assume we must get kyber 1 early in the season, if it's as easy as you say?
A 65% win ratio in ranked will more than guarantee you make Kyber 1 each season provided you play even somewhat consistently. It takes playtime of course, but it's genuinely not hard at all, especially considering you just said you have a 65% win rate. You can get there with 50% and technically even less over the course of the whole grind
To be fair I don't think this game would benefit with increased difficulty in ranked climbing, especially when they make skin reward systems in ranked tiers, this game is primarily designed for casual fun play and I'd argue that ranked is there for higher skilled players that want some more intensity with that casual fun play experience rather than it just being a gigachad mode for maxing since in the game as is now there isn't enough teammate communication to make ranked be this way nor do I think it should be as it would make that skin unlock process in ranked even harder does not sound fun lol (Coming from somebody who solo queued with randoms into kyber 1)
I could never get to kyber 1. once I hit kyber 3 my teammates were very bad. it is so frustrating that I keep hearing kyber 1 is easy. no I am not a terrible player. I almost quit the game because of this. matchmaking killed me. players quit. not play. or skill levels are very low.
yeah this game definitely has the most lenient ranked system I've experienced. Playing support at low ranks you are pretty much guaranteed to be the number 1 player on your team and the bonus points you get for performance, offset, if not surpass, the points you lose from a loss. I love that you are rewarded for good play even if your team is dogwater.
There were games I played in where I was going for the objectives, like in Power Control, and my teammates were not going for it like they should have. They were focused more on shooting at the opposing team and on taking the middle base primarily. But while that was happening, we were losing because the other team had two bases already. So I am like, my team should focus on having two bases and then fighting. Not while we are losing. I was struggling to get us two bases as Aran Tal and we lost.
The game just unbalanced. What made it worse was teaming up with special clan names making it an unfair especially for lone wolf players. I’m glad I finish kyber1 but it’s still the worse, the creator been avoiding the issue ignoring it even when details was given. Then there’s just Toxic Try hards some would put clan names out of desperation. Game was purpose for Easy money grab I.m.o .
Highest ive made is Kyber 3. Ranked definitely needs a change. Unless youre playing in a squad thats communicating or just really lucky in matchmaking, you're going to have a hard time ranking up. Thats been my experience at least. But i also play on mobile. That might be it too.

I understand people keep saying you will eventually get to Kyber1 but I’ve not seen a difference for me. I always end up on a losing streak which kicks me all the way back.
I can't squad play because I actually an mobile and not sitting in my mom's basement. I think they need to reward more for playing the game right instead of just getting kills.

Climbing ranked ladders in mobile games is always about grinding. It's never really skill based. They want everyone to feel good, get addicted, and buy a bunch of skins. It won't get better; if anything they will progressively make it easier to climb.
I call bs on only needing a 50 percent win ratio. Especially when you get to kyber 3 because a loss puts you back -400 and you only get +200 for a win. And with how bad the matchmaking is you'll be kyber 2 and the game will put 3 other bronze ranked members on your team vs 4 kyber 1s on the other team.

Same, I feel the majority of people just play it for the skin rewards in my opinion which nothing wrong with that, that's what I did, not a big ranked person anyways but I will play it for skins, but I wouldn't want that ranked climb to be any harder with solo queueing with randoms with no communication tools aside from dumb stickers lol

Lack of communication is what caused most of my lose streaks, with my teammates trying to solo the whole enemy team, support not being a support, or any of them not going for objectives when they are wide open.
In my opinion i repeat my opinion they shouldn't make it so you get ranked points by winning because that means bots can drag you down so they should make it that you get ranked points by what you did. So for example if i win but only get 1 kill 12 deaths and 0 assists then i would not make any progress but if i have 9 kills 3 deaths and 5 assists i would make good progress. Star Wars hunters in a way already do this due to at the end of a game you are given a score i just think that this score should be changed to ranked points and maybe make each rank take more exp. Boom done ranked is now about personal games and is not affected by absolute bots.

On one hand you say it’s too easy. But that balances out playing with tards. You are trying to be elitist. It’s casual and should stay casual. There are other games for that grind. I made my bet 1 and everyone should have access to rewards.

the 3 bronziums were most likely bots. That happens all the time if you are queing at the wrong time in kyber

A solo queue would be great or at least cap to duo queue when you kit Kyber 1

That’s why I haven’t been playing ranked. My friends don’t want to party up and I get paired with inexperienced players while I’m in Kyber.
I don't think they should require all hero types but they should only allow a maximum of 2 of the same hero type per match
