Hi there! I watched your review and bought exactly the same guitar yesterday. I'm really happy with overall quality and build for the price! One question though. You said you had changed the pickup. Which one did you install instead of the original? The original Ibanez pickup is quite noisy and it feels as it cuts hi end a little, too. I plug into my boss katana and hear a lot of hiss. I watched a few other demos of that combo and none of them have any noise coming from their guitars and they don't use noise gates since there's no need to.
that was my question too. im not that into Gibson necks because they're too big with not enough support so my hands cramp and i struggle to reach the top strings comfortably, so a tele neck is like a match made in heaven for me 😊
@@David-cu1xy Holy cow, only10 months later..🤣. I know the strings, they come in a purple box. I use those in a 10ga on my Breedlove and Gibson Epiphone acoustics, only bcuz they don't tend to give out that copper brass metal smell on your fingers. I use 10ga also bcuz they are easy on my finger tips; I mostly play my Fender Strat with 8ga strings. Very nice guitar Rocky, I was looking to get that TCM50 some years ago bcuz of its thinner body than regular acoustics. But I have enough. I feel your friend was foolish in giving it away. But I recon, if he didn't play, why not give it away. Cheers..
I know this is going to sound crazy BUT since this guitar has the pick-up on the outside could you use distortion on an amp or a pedal without getting the horrible feed back like on internal pick-up acoustic's?
+LoG PhoeniX I was using one last night. It feeds back quick if you let go of the strings, but yes. You can pair it with a distortion pedal and it will act much more like an electric than an acoustic. No horrible mic feedback.
Onur Polat had a chance to try it out and I think yes it has a good sound when it is not plugged in also after trying it out I decided to buy a new one. I would recommend if you ask me.
@@TheOnlat I would say the sound without amp is a bit disappointing, due to the small corpus. Sounds bit like a little box which is is. But good enough for practising.
Why did you put a new pickup on the guitar? What kind of a pickup did you add, brand and model? Thanks!!
Hi, would you mind measuring the width of the body from front to back? It might accommodate a shoulder injury if thin enough.
Had to sub I have my Tallman coming today
I would like to see your other videos Rocky - did you ever make them? I hope so..... if not, the time is now. I like your style of review. Thank you
No I have not but like to get back in to it thank you for watching

Is the neck profile similar to that of a Strat or Tele? I have smaller hands and prefer those.
Yes the neck small and it's great for hands

@@rockymallory3431 I have hands also :)
How you spell those strings you mentioned? Letcher?
Elixir
