Yeah my only issue with some of the artifacts is that they have way too little carry weight reductions which even if they weren't horribly heavy they wouldn't really be worth carrying. Also I kinda wish they brought back some of the armor attachments having carry weight reductions to cover their own carry weights.
@@mrquang11212 Pretty sure they removed artifact containers, it said so in one of the patch notes. The only way to find one is by doing those "intercept" tasks, and the container vanishes if you open it, failing the task.
I like the new artifact system more than the old one, but I wish Grok would’ve gone a different route to balancing them. Instead of making soft caps, I wish artifacts overall gave less stats and had more interesting and fun/strong effects. Let armor equipment and pelts boost our stats while artifacts let us put “builds” somewhat together. Maybe Heart of the Oasis could heal and boost teammates’ damage. Maybe Volat Emerald could boost the number of artifacts you find in the fields. Compass could improve recoil. It’s all just defense and stats and means you’ll probably just use Heart, Compass, Emerald, Full Empty, and a Pelt/Plate.
@@c0n33r Perk artifacts are cool, but I wish there was more, and especially for endgame viability 😄 More stuff like Knot/Lucifer would be beautiful. Especially for the endgame tier 4 artifacts that take so long to get. Grok also teased another artifact that’ll come in a later update that combines all the endgame artifacts. It’s just more stat buffs, but now you have 3 more slots to fill (unless you wanna grind for those artifacts again ugh). It’s also just more stat buffs, although it’s a little more interesting than what we get now. As is, it just feels like you go for the same artifacts and will only ever really do that, and with the new cap system you’re almost forced to go for these.
PSA about the Phantom Star. Grok made it so you can have more than 5 belt slots in endgame armors (with upgrades, up to 7), but if you equip a Phantom Star in any slot higher than the vanilla 5th, it'll bug out, disappear and do nothing (it makes you invisible for 1.5 mins, normally) so if you want to utilize this artifact, make sure you just unequip artifacts so you have 4 equipped at max (or less if you want to make sure). Hopefully this info helps someone, i like to use the Star for Brain Scorcher runs to trivialize the timer.
The electra tunnel is actually considered an anomaly field that spawns artefacts. At least in vanilla Anomaly that is the case. I remember making a mod for myself that touched anomaly fields and discovering that.
One important thing to note with artifact crafting is that artifacts WILL maintain durability through crafting. So it's more efficient to repair a tier 1 artifact to full before upgrading tiers (Unless it's a perk artifact to tier 1 and which it'll just be around 33~ percent or so.) Idk how this works with tier 3/4 artifacts needing 2 artifacts to craft though.

a weird but very important tip for people new to the game, don't become overly reliant on bolts, it isn't common but they can be misleading cause they have a much smaller hit box than you and especially with highly visible anomalies sometimes holding onto bolts is gonna be better for you over all. in other words, learn to spot anomalies and decide if you trust your eyes or bolts more for certain anomalies also artefact selling is purely because of being able to sell lower quality (just about everyone bought good quality artefacts)
Just got Gamma up and running today and was using your ADHD guide to Stalker Gamma as an assist (thanks for that by the way). However it has occurred to me that, as of Gamma’s recent update (0.9.3) it has somewhat broken the ‘Training Day: Get the Jellyfish Artifact’ quest from Fanatic. Upon starting he will give you the radiation protection drug, Vodka and Bolts (no Lead Lined Container) after giving you these items he will start to return to Rookie Village. When the player has obtained the Artifact, the quest will update to ‘put Jellyfish in Lead Lined Container’ (which you now cannot do) and no quest marker will appear. What you will have to do instead is simply return to Fanatic as you would normally. Just letting players know. I was confused while using your guide why I didn’t have the Lead Lined Container and what to do if I didn’t. Thanks again for the Guide by the way.

This was actually a very thorough video on the recent update! However i dont know if i like the fact that we have to rely on artefacts this much now, i know, its a stalker game, artefacts are its bread and butter if you think about it but man, to me going into anomalous zones just isnt that fun

Some stuff from Anomaly Custom got into new Gamma update. You know what I miss? Crafting that let you combine ANY backpack with Hunter's Kit. It was a thing in old version of AC mod, but not anymore. Did Grok made any changes when it comes to finding Expert Tool or it's the same way?
It's the same way, for the most part the only thing they changed is that you'll always get at least one basic kit and then at least one advanced kit and then you can find advanced kits. I think the reasoning was so that players that spawn in the north don't get skip kit tiers and get stuck only finding advanced kits. They'll always find at least one basic and advanced kit now.
Volat Emerald used to negate your phisical protection, now it only in crease weight and cap of other protection, which mean you still have to craft other artifact to counter anomalies.
Volat Emerald is currently bugged and is missing a ton of stats, Grok hasn't fixed it yet, but it is supposed to have more stats beyond just burn protection. Get him to fix it!!
I have red eco suit and burn anomaly kills me in seconds, 75% res and anomalies in Freedom zone don’t notice that even if I just nearby them. I wonder if it’s some script.

While containers do exist now in HoC, you will don’t *need* containers for artifacts because they don’t naturally emit radiation when in your inventory.
which trees are you using for Gamma? mines no leaves standard just curious. id love to see grok and team add a tab for seasons where you can swap out from spring summer trees and grass to fall leaves fall no leaves and project invernos winter setup

@mikuskasspele7722 Yeah it's definitely enabled, and I had done a completely clean install (never had GAMMA on this computer and deleted all other STALKER and mod related files). I had a 'Better Stats Bar - Demonized' enabled and that was causing the issue. Completely fixed now.

@Rein54 I agree. A lot of the changes he made are actually nice though like the grass shadows and a bunch of the actual lighting changes. The issue is there’s now a slightly blurry filter over everything that looks like a crappy ReShade.

They shouldn’t be giving you any radiation when in your inventory. There IS artifacts that give radiation when equipped and so you’ll have to counter that with artifacts that lower radiation.

GAMMA was always this complex. The only thing that really changed with this update was needing mutant parts for crafting. But even then BEFORE you had to craft combine a TON of artifacts together and it was way worse. That’s the whole reason I hated doing artifacts. Plus they’d all be at like 20 something % so you’d need 4-5 to repair. Now you just need 3 a majority of the time.
Why, i think it ok, the gun parts only rely on condition which make field trip and field asembling easier, the artifacts are kinda confused to me because artifact effency go down too fast but you dont get rads when pick up so it alright, the resist cap is somewhat balance so you dont become walking tank

The lead containers were always an Anomaly thing. They never existed in the OG games. Just like artifacts emitting radiation in your inventory, it’s a mod thing. Grok has said all the building materials will be removed from the shop and will be craft able only. As far as the detector removal goes, I don’t see why anyone would miss the Veles. Most people either stop at Grizzly or make a Svarog. I don’t know many ppl who use a Veles (unless you’re playing Call of Pripyat ;P)

That full Empty is diabolical. 5.53kg weight with a 8kg carry reduction WTF.
It keeps your weight limit *full even when your inventory is *empty.

To me Grok made a lot of artifacts like they are in SoC where a lot didn’t have rads but would make another stat weaker

As long as you’re on the latest version of GAMMA, all stats should be numbered rather than the bar. Otherwise I’m not sure.

They shouldn’t be giving you any radiation when in your inventory. There IS artifacts that give radiation when equipped and so you’ll have to counter that with artifacts that lower radiation.

The easiest thing to do is saturation, either in the game menu or with your monitor settings.
