I have a Question to ahrefs! Which page backlinks more effective & gives longtime value? Domain.com or domain.com/page _______________________ If I bulid backlinks domain.com/page That's strong my backlinks profile? or only help for specifically page that I wanna to Rank? The backlinks still gives me any value for rank other pages, That don't have any backlinks. Thanks.
Can you explain what types of links tag I put on my blog? For example, I often write list posts like "top 20/30 websites for something." I don't sell any link or put affiliate links. 1. Can I put 30 external links on 1200 words post? 2. Can put all external links as no follow/do follow or what ratio I should follow between nofollow and dofollow tag. 3. How many external links can place in a post with 1000 words?
There is no fix formula to putting link in any particular number of blog post. If link is relates to your audience which you think, it can educate /help your audience do add it. 1.) 30 external Links in 1200 words are too much, see what is most important link which can help your audience to know about that topic. 2.) External links should be no-follow. 3.) Again, no fix rule for links and word count.
Agree with Claude. You do not want your page to look like a directory, but you still may link to relevant websites that will bring more useful info to your readers. Think about it as a natural process. If you do a review for "top 10 *" I would expect you to have 10 external nofollow links, cause it make sense here. Another side of a coin, each review should cover the topic in full, not just include 2-3 generic sentences with a link. - Max
@Claude Ashley @Ahrefs When I set all links as no follow, Yoast SEO plugin suggested "All outbound links on this page are nofollowed. Add some normal links." Please, can you explain this? Is there any SEO benefits for adding dofollow links?

Hi, Sam I have one Question about 301 links From High DA Sites Like Forbes, NYT, Inc etc. 301 links have same authority like the original links have you Suggestion would help me a lot.

What are your thoughts on building free links with outreach like Backlinko, Authority Hackers style for 2020 and beyond? Or is everyone asking for payment for a link placement these days regardless of how good the offered quality is ?
I'm all for building links through outreach. Naturally, some people will ask for money, but a lot of people will be happy to link if there's a good reason for them to. In my opinion, content quality is just a prerequisite. But "great content" alone isn't a good enough reason to get someone to link to you. I recommend checking out these videos: Link building playlist - th-cam.com/video/E3mDlVutW_o/w-d-xo.html -Sam
Consider DR as a great metric for selecting websites to build links from. As a general rule, you should aim to get backlinks from high-DR websites because they carry more “weight". Of course, you will get more value from a high UR page, than a low UR page on the same domain. Finally, it is a very rare case, when you will find a high UR page on a low DR domain. - Max

Good video although I think the "folllow/no follow" obsession amongst SEO's is misguided. If I worked for Google I would see too many "followed" links as a spam signal. Only SEO's get hung up on "follow" links, most business owners don't even no what they are. If the link ticks most of the 7 attributes but is "no follow" I would recommend building it. There are other metrics (traffic, brand awareness, trust, authority, citations) that a "no follow" link can bring. Don't get hung up it as a single metric :)
Tony, you are totally right about the use of nofollow links when mentioning traffic, brand awareness, citations and maybe trust. But in terms of authority points or "link juice" the value is close to "0". So depending on your initial goal, you may decide if nofollow opportunity is worth your time or not, and how much time you are willing to invest into that type of a link. - Max
@@AhrefsCom I agree and I guess its about time and reward. I do still think that a 100% followed link profile looks over engineered but this is a game we play with Google and they are aware of it. A few no follow links makes a link profile look much more "natural" :)

I disagree with you for nofollow link attribute, i think it does not really matter if the link is nofollow or defollow since google consider the nofollow links as a hint for ranking and appreciate the orignal content creater. It's just Fair for me... The point of discussion here why u still consider the Defollow more than nofollow? your answer is because defollow pass value, so how the nofollow used as a hint? what standars google follow here to benefit me from this nofollow backlink?
The term, "hint," wasn't really defined. Also, Google mentioned, "In most cases, the move to a hint model won’t change the nature of how we treat such links. We’ll generally treat them as we did with nofollow before and not consider them for ranking purposes." Some sites (ie. large publications) nofollow all external links, which (imo), isn't fair to those who are deserving of those links. There isn't enough information to make any conclusions, so for the time being, I prefer to stick to what we know. -Sam
