As you can see in the second half of the video, this lead testing was quite the surprise!!! LOL
Some notes on lead and “food safety” - and I’m not a lawyer or expert in this, so do your own homework and research, please. Consider this your jumping off point:

- Marking glass as not food safe: From what I can tell, it’s hard to find much detail from the FDA about glassware and food safety (other than lead crystal), so instead I am taking my cues from published guidelines applying to pottery. This is a helpful read: www.fda.gov/fo...
And in that link, you’ll find these guidelines, which clearly state that a simple label or removable sticker is not sufficient when marking something as not safe for food… you need to figure out how to permanently mark your piece.
