MY GOD, THIS MADE ME CRY IN SO MANY WAYS... I was watching Gilmore Girls while I looked at my phone and saw an ad for Walmart, I always watch this series with my mom... millions of times we've already finished and started over lol , every time we finish, we watch it again... this series makes me so happy in a way, every time I watch it I analyze each character, I see how they talk... I've noticed everything Until... I'm from Brazil and I'm 14 years old... but every time I watch this series it feels like I'm watching it for the first time... and seeing that Walmart has come back with this in a way makes me want to cry with happiness ...
I love that they have so many little details in this commercial. The troubadour, the little kid’s art pieces hanging in the background, the la la’s. Takes me right back to Stars Hollow. Time to do a rewatch!

I love GG so much, I feel this is nothing but shameless money grab by Walmart exploiting GG fans. Totally against Luke and Lorelei's characters... I mean you’re right, the ad was a money grab. But they did a good job of interpreting the nostalgic feeling you get when you watch Gilmore Girls, the classic background song, Luke and Lorelai’s chemistry, Lorelai’s interaction with Kirk, Luke’s Diner. Even if the ad was a money grab it did a nice job of instilling the feeling of nostalgia, and it feel like a brief fever dream. I think this ad is more faithful to the original Gilmore Girls series because of the feelings and the vibes, even if some of the natural elements like Luke and Lorelai’s character has altered for the ad.

Off topic. Kinda. But I held out hope, even though I knew it wasn't true, that the baby was his. That he and Rory had an off camera drunken or nostalgic hook up off screen we learn about later. But, Lorelei and Amy has said it was never meant to be a mystery. It was meant to show history repeating itself, and it was to be clear Logan was the daddy.... So I was thinking, that could be better. I always hated smug little rich Logan... He was so bad for Rory. Yea he got her to let go and even challenged her, but he was so so bad for her and her morality and character. Jess challenged her and made her think. Morally and academically. I would LOVE to see Logan is the father, her Christopher if you will. All pretty and nice and cozy picture bc of the money and loves her in his own way. But, Jess is her Luke. The one that will be there everyday, only wants to see her succeed and only wants to make her happy. Jess loves her for who she is, eccentricities and all. Logan loves her for what they could be and the way he knows how. Jess loves her for who she is and the way she NEEDS to be loved.... Omg. I was 13 when it first aired and I couldn’t wait to watch it every week. Now every few years I’ll rewatch all the seasons, about a year and a half ago I watched it in its entirety. Last week I had nothing to watch on any streaming platform so I started watching it again when my 12 year old passed by to the kitchen and said “watching Gilmore girls again mom?, nothing to watch on TV then?” 😂 my kid know me so well. Later on that day my little one said, I wanna watch Gilmore Girls with you again mommy 🤭
I watched GG reruns all throughout middle school and high school. I got bullied by a baseball coach one time for mentioning it. I love this show. It's a great nostalgia binge watch. The special special music too ❤.
