Back to the Warfield! Incredible that the band can sound so different in 80 than in 68. The Dead never stopped evolving. Thanks for these history lessons Okie. I think your school should give you your own mandatory TDIGDH course. Save the children Okie! 👦👧👨👩
The Warfield and Radio City runs in 1980 were the last time the Dead played acoustic sets. Jerry had a run at the Wiltern Theatre in LA in 89 or 90 when he opened his JGB shows with acoustic sets.
@@staggerlee4979 I believe they did two shows in Louisiana between the aforementioned runs. They were tapes I sought out, but never found. I'll go look at old setlists before searching LAMA.

How about 1990? Absolutely bizarre!
This is one of the cleanest recordings of Any Dead show that I've ever heard !!!
Thank You OkieDeadhead!

I love these '80 Warfield shows!
i always thought the warfield shows were not given the high praise they deserve
@@michaelstephens890 I got the same impression. Seems the Radio City Music Hall shows got more of the attention.
Love this time period!!!
Totally!Didn't catch Warfield but saw 4 shows at Radio City
Thanks Okie!!!
I think this may be the most spirited of the acoustic sets in the these "Reckoning" shows in SF and NYC.
Thank you, this is Red Rose .
Checking in from the green country :)
Lay me down and make me happy oh wait I already am ❤️
7 nights at Radio City. Damn that's 🔥

I didn’t even know they did acoustic performances. Jesus this is good. Any tips on others I should give a listen?

Take a listen to "Reckoning"..I've also seen it titled "For the Faithful"
