Basically it mostly depends on if it happens to the front pack or not Spins in the back of the pack and big wrecks in the back - usually not yellow Accidents where the leaders or Top 5 are involved - usually yellow Also if an accident anywhere in the field occurs as the front pack is starting to string out and get smaller, Ben Easterday opts to wave the yellow then as well
To add on to this: Once the field crosses the line for the start of the white flag lap, no yellow flags are EVER to be waved. There have been instances where a wreck starts right before the white flag lap, and Ben calls a yellow then which leads to overtime. During overtime, any yellows on the first lap would lead to another overtime session, but once the white flag lap has started, that lap is the definitive end of the race regardless of how many wrecks occur afterwrd.
@Tunda2 yeah Mooncar rules are extremely unique and designed to maximize the competition level. In concert with the yellow flag rules: 1. During yellow flags, drivers a lap or more down can make up the laps they are behind by driving full speed on the high side of the track until one to go for green 2. Drivers are given one reset they can use at any time during the race. This primarily serves to guarantee that an early race wreck does not end someone's day (and drivers have won on numerous occasions after flipping earlier in the event)

Mooncar never disappoints. The 87’s along with this set up should be in the official NASCAR game that iRacing is making for consoles.
How can a Mooncar race be strange?
It’s MoonCar!

iRacings bad race control that desperately needs an update/revision to fix the issues.

@@csampang1 that’s a bit different than I’m used to. My league has no cautions inside 5 to go and even that’s controversial
