Lebron literally said since he’s been watching the game and I’m sure he was watching the game before AI came into the league so he did slight Jordan because he’s watched Jordan and how influential he was the reason why he wears 23 not 3. AI is one of the post influential so is Steph but to say any of them were bigger is crazy. Michael Jordan was bigger than basketball when it came to influence and Lebron know that and and he decided not to say Jordan because that would put Jordan even more ahead of him in the GOAT conversation

Time magazine listed Jordan's 63 PT performance vs Bird as the 26th most memorable television moment IN HISTORY.
You might not call Jordan the GOAT... But when it comes to influential basketball players lol lol... No player has even come close to influencing young NBA players, and young kids playing pickup games as MJ.
They all wanted to be MJ. Even LeBron was quoted as wearing the red wristband and black calf sleeve.
    Among many others.
Michael Jordan transcended the game of basketball, became a household name globally. Not because he had political views, not because he was controversial on the mic... Simply because what he did on the court was so exhilarating, even people who never watched basketball before, we're stunned by what they were seeing and became instant fans.
People would come from around the world to the United center just to catch Michael live.
For LeBron James or anyone else to Not acknowledge that Michael Jordan turned the NBA and basketball itself into a global phenomenon on his own is a smack in the face and a straight lie.

LeBron clearly said since he's been watching and covering basketball, not sure what you heard.. He didn't say anything about "this era" Lol.. LeBron is definitely older than Steph, so that can't be true by any means.. Let's not forget that Jordan got cut from the varsity squad his sophomore year in high school and I'm sure LeBron knows that and that's definitely just as relatable as anything that Steph and AI have been through..
Shoot, AI let us know who influenced him during his Hall of Fame speech and said without Jordan, there would be no AI..
Sounds to me like somebody has hurt feelings about not being recognized as the GOAT even after playing as long as he's been playing.. What he did was intentional, no matter how you try to spin it..

Curry 100% changed the game more than MJ did. MJ was better, but what he did for the most part cannot be taught... he was gifted. Curry on the other hand, does something that lots of people seem to be possible, don't get me wrong curry is a gifted shooter. But, a kid can resinate with someone hitting crazy 3's more than they can with a guy jumping out the gym. MJ was gifted with athleticism and perfected it(cannot be taught), the other is a great shooter and perfected it with practice which is something any kid can see as a possibility. Grant it, you could put more hours in the gym and never be as good as curry, but if you are not gifted with MJS size and athleticism its never going to happen for you.

Your boy Kobe gave Mike his flowers. Lebron wants to rewrite history in his image. 40 k is a great longevity accomplishment. But after I beat everyone at the playground 3 or 4 times what’s the point I got other things going on in life. It’s almost like lebron took the shut up and dribble comment too seriously.

I suppose in all fairness he do have a point! AI said we talking bout practice, how the kids view practice? Steph shoots from half court what the kids do now? Chunk shots from anywhere. But at the same time parents need to be parental and explain why fundamentals and practice is more important! Zion should be in the MVP race but how does he view practice and training?
Joker isn’t no specimen but he looks to be the most dominant big man more than Shaq as of right now. Why fundamentally sound.

This came from a guy who claimed his 2016 and 2020 championships were BOTH, the most hard fought finals in nba history.
There were 50 or so championship series that took place before he was even alive.
That was the most delusional and asinine comment I've heard from any franchise player in any pro sport.
Even the sports journalists and community we're disgusted by that disrespectful nonsense coming out of his mouth, and many have a lot to say about it. Especially Steven a Smith.
This is also a guy who somehow believed that finally beating a team once out of four straight tries, where his teammate averaged 28 PPG for the series, somehow made HIM the GOAT??
So you Play the same club 4 years straight... And squeeze 1 win in, and somehow you're the GOAT now?
Even though you didn't have a field goal in the final 5 minutes of game 7 and Kyrie was the one who hit the series winning Dagger when it counted.
Considering they both averaged about 28 PPG for the series, and Kyrie closed it out, he should make the same claim as LeBron.
LeBron James, the man who used his status and influence in whatever way possible to facilitate winning a championship. Whatever it was getting on the phone to join up with a bunch of superstars, which he's done multiple times... And ultimately led him to officially having the most All Star / all NBA teammates in NBA history.
And even with all that assistance and leverage... He somehow has gone 22-33 in the finals. Losing 6 of them??
Michael, Kobe, Magic, Bird, those are players to look up to. Got drafted, stayed put, played with whoever their GM decided to sign or draft or trade.
Let their game do all the talking. Stayed out of the GM's office and let him do his job.
After 8 seasons with Cleveland, he wasn't any closer to a championship so he sold out and put together a super team.
The best part was that after doing that, and becoming the best team in the league by far, LeBron having a career year, ends up in the finals just to have what's officially known as the worst collapse by a franchise player in a NBA finals series.
Remember the not one not two not three not four Not five not six not seven.
Well I'm from Miami, and watching him put up eight points in a pivotal game 4 situation while a 35-year-old end of career Jason Terry ran circles around him, and totally shut him down was a humiliation not only to LeBron, but to our city of Miami.
It's understandable to have a bad game in any playoff series. And the 89 ECSF game 2, Jordan had a terrible shooting night, only dropping 15 and losing the game.
But by the end of that series, Jordan had put up 40 points in three separate games and averaged 36/8.5/10 dispatching the Knicks in 6.
So having a bad game is going to happen to everyone. But to completely melt down every game in a championship series after loading up your squad and promising Miami a championship... He sucks.
And then in 2013 down 3-2 to San Antonio in the finals, with only one minute left and down by 1, once again LeBron had the worst performance in the last 60 seconds of an elimination finals game.
With one minute left to either win and go to game 7, or lose it all... He gives up back to back unforced turnovers where he literally threw the ball away twice in a row. And followef that by an airball 3-point attempt.
You can't make this stuff up.
The greatest player in the game apparently, in the final minute of a win or go home championship series throws the ball away twice in a row and then puts up an air ball.
After each of those LeBron blunders, the Spurs responded with free throws, extending the lead.
So after those three humiliating plays by LeBron James, he took the ball up again with the shot clock off and game clock off and needed a 3 to send it to overtime or go home.
He bricked that 3, and miraculously, Chris Bosh reached behind his head and held onto the board, kicking it out to Ray Allen for one of the most miraculous and greatest shots in finals history.
We should not have won that series. After what LeBron James did in that final minute, we didn't deserve to win.
But with Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Ray Allen, Shane Battier, Mario Chalmers ETC, they made it happen.
Let's not forget LeBron and company getting swept by Denver last season. But every game came down to a final play. Of which LeBron hit the side of the backboard in one case, and had an open layup which he fumbled out of bounds somehow. Both of those plays lost the Lakers both games.
LeBron can play till he's 50, stat padding, going for the record for total this and total that, But it won't make a difference. What Jordan did in 11 full seasons eclipses what LeBron has done in 21 seasons, and it's not even close.

Kareem had already won 6 titles and had the record before Jordan even really got his feet wet in the league. People at the time was calling Kareem the goat once he retired, but once those same fans who grew up watching Kareem and media pundits seen mj the rest is history. No one said back then and now in order for Jordan to become the goat he has to beat Kareem record. Nobody care about that record until lebron fan boys came along. It’s more to basketball ball then that record real basketball fans no that. Because if that record makes lebron the goat then there is no way people Jordan could of got the number 1 spot over Kareem with real fan of the sport and the media after all this time
