Loved this video bro, just a chill vibe to it
Thank you bro! Glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏿
Great shots brother! You’re an inspiration, I need to get out and do some golden hour photography. Definitely love the surfer shot and the vintage cars. Film is alive! Look forward to seeing more 👌🏻
Thanks bro! It’s my favorite time of day, especially for film. Get out there man! 📷💪🏿
You can lay the film directly on the scanner and use 4 quarters (each corner of the frame) to lay the film flat. Another option would be to purchase some AR glass to hold the film flat while scanning + cutting out reflections/newton rings from showing up on the scan.
I use the first method to scan 4x5 film on the V600. Never had any issues with newton rings.
Great video! Thank you!!! Cheers from Poland :) !!!
Yoooo I got a shoutout👀 Finally got around to this one. Hyped to see what you do with medium format
LOVE these shots so much!!! 😍
WE HAVE TO PRINT SOME
Think my favorite shot is the overhead of the surfer. Happy birthday and keep dropping the great content!
Might have to get that one printed man. Thanks for watching Tom! Hope you’re doin’ well 🙏🏿
Did you print it?? @@TristanErvin
Happy birthday bro. Clean shots, and dope video! ✊🏾
Thanks brotha. Preciate you watchin 👊🏿
that surfer shot is insane!! love it
Love the colors in the surfer image.
Okay, not surprised your background is in photography because I was really impressed by the photos overall.
That shot with the surfer is dope!
These photos are really good, once again!
Hi Tristan, i'm a french photographer and i appreciate a lot your pictures! I've just bought today a PENTAX 645 (first version), and yours thoughts have helped me to decide! i m now waiting by this fantastic camera... i will show you my pictures ^^ best regards. Chris
Great shots, absolutely loving the colors ♥ - did you adjust them for the video or is that just what Kodak Gold looks like?
The shots came out 🔥 great vlog bro. Definitely wanted to see what u and Paul were going to come up wit though!
Thanks bro! Yeah man I was hoping the clouds weren’t going to roll in man - totally ruined it for me. Gotta get out there again soon tho! 👀
@@TristanErvin I’m waiting! Well that also means I have to be home 🤦🏾♂️😂
Ahhhh...film. So wonderful.
Hey Tristan! Great shots man, loving the vibes! To get rid of those weird marks when laying the film directly onto your scanner, you need to buy a piece of anti neuton ring glass and lay it on top your negatives.
🔥 shots!
Thanks homie! 🙏🏿
subscribed, love it!
Surfer shot is great!
Great video. Don’t limit yourself to the golden hour though, you’re a great photographer and you will come up with ways to use all hours of the day or night. Keep going, always have a camera with you.
OMG stunning pictures Tristan!
Great photography Tris! My fav is the Surfer shot. How could it not be! 😃 Man keep it up and give us _more!_ I really want to see how the scanning goes with that new Epson and that insane-awesome P-645. Power on sir! 🤓👍
Man I love shooting on film. No digital camera can mimic the magic of it. Those shots were sick T. I like these vlogs too 🤟
Great video. I just got a Pentax 645. Was impressed you got the surfer in focus.
Yo man love the work! Haven’t retried scanning at the photo lab, but it is kinda local to me I’ll have to check it out.
I’m usually just go to bills camera
Good to see LA. Oh mine ! Please don’t open the back of the camera to remove and reload a film in full light, at least open it in the shade, you will get pictures with more contrast…
Wow! you are stepping it up with the film photography!💯 Amazing shots Tristan! ❤️🔥📸 Gotta say the surfer one is my favorite too! Also Happy Birthday bro!💯🙌🏽 hope you enjoy your Bday!🥳🥳🥳
Trying to man! 100% obsessed with the process. That surfer one is KILLER haha. I appreciate you bro, thanks for watching!
It's an addiction for real. Film is so good! Loved the video and I love my Pentax 645. Very underated camera.
100%! Didn’t know I’d get addicted to it like this, so fast. The Pentax 645 totally gets it done man, glad to see another person loving it as much as I do!
I am SHOCKED there are still places where one can develop film and especially SLIDES. Wow. I miss shooting film, May have to take the dust off my old Nikon F100. Great pics by the way.
Film is definitely not dead man! There’s a few local spots around here but The Photo Lab do the best job at developing. You should totally take the Nikon out! Thanks for watching 🙏🏿
Beautiful shots bro
New fan 💯
Welcome to the channel!
These shots are so creamy mannnn. I can never get the metering right for Gold on 120, which is a shame because its my favorite! What do you meter for? Also, how are you liking the Pentax? Im seriously considering one of these
Love rolling around shooting golden hour! Gotta make your way to SD and we can link up and shoot! Keep crushin it bro
Thanks man! I’d love to come down to SD and shoot - favorite city in SoCal so I HAVE to get it on film 🤔
Hi tristan! you need an Anti Newton Ring glass that you can put in your scanner so you don’t get those weird color rings!
THANK YOU! Finally someone comes through to help! I'll look into that because I love having the borders in my scans! I'm assuming I lay the film down on top of it, correct?
@@TristanErvin some people do film on top some people do the opposite, i’d say just try and see what works best :)
Did you ever get an answer for being able to get the edges of the film scanned and not putting the film directly on the scanner?
Nice, do you shoot Gold at box speed?
What lens were you using on your 645…75mm?
What are you metering the light with? Does the 645 have an internal light meter?
It does
You have a better chance of seeing a UFO then a Pentax use.🤪🤪🤪
