we all remember those times when we played Battlefield, being angry or laughing, doing vile kills and so on, and now we understand that the legendary series of games has rolled down, it's sad...
I still play bf4, I dont like newer battlefield games except hardline and bf1 (hardline is almost dead)

Well at least it’s not doing as bad as cod. At least imo. I got 2042 at target for 20 bucks roughly 6 months ago and these past two months I’ve been playing a lot of it. Uninstalled MWII. Didn’t even bother to get MWIII. They just need to add more guns. So many iconic BF weapons still missing from the game.
more games need to do this loading screens like this immerse the player and get the blood pumping before the game starts
Sadly games don’t care about immersion anymore. U got games like the finals and Fortnite coming out

Operation Metro 2014 theme just fires me up
Firestorm, Silk Road and Pearl Market are my favorites! Didn't even know that "A Theme For Kjell" is in Guilin Peaks, maybe becouse that map never comes in a rotation nowadays. A Theme For Kjell is a masterpiece.

Before the dragon dlc came in summer 2014 i was playing guilin peaks 24/7 hundreds of rounds and i never realised it had this theme too. After learning about the meaning of the song 10 years later its really double sad for me
15:28 silk road literally gets your mind pumping, like your about to engage soldiers of another superpower, head to head. The fear, courage, and tenacity, all encapsulated into a theme.

I mean, you can hear people screaming in terror as a either Chinese or American assualt is happening on the tropical paradise their at, I mean the map itself is meant to be exactly that, that simple detail in it is a solemn reminder that civilians too, get caught up in warfare as well

Bf3 and Bf4 will stand in gaming history at having the best gameplay for its time and soundtrack. Back then game developers actually cared and put heart and soul into their games. You can see that in the soundtrack in itself. We are heading towards into a gaming end. The best soundtrack in my opinion in this list is Guilin Peaks. Reason being the music and the background battle fit perfectly together. And the ending feels as if war ended.
Makes me sad considering almost no game will capture the vibe bf3 and bf4 had. Now every game wants to be a cartoony movement hero shooter. Give me bf3 and bf4 remastered and I won’t buy any new game for a long, long time
Sadly dice and ea would rather go for the trends and what clicks rather than going for quality, well aging part of the series that'll bring joy for players while maintaining the universal BF formula of balance. What comes next is to see though, I give dice one last chance for next BF franchise addition.
I hope they don't turn me down, and if they take BF4 down one day, that's it with the franchise for me. They better atleast try to make a quality game... so tired of cringy super hero battleroyale and other cartoony shit.

I ran the most played 24/7 Outbreak server (Cant get enough Outbreak) and that intro never gets old or played out for me.

When I first played this game on release for the PS3 I remember Rogue Transmission’s loading theme really hit me different. Not sure what it is, but something about it gives me a feeling I love. The map was one of my favs too really

I remember loading up Operation Firestorm 2014 last year and just getting slapped with the theme. It just makes me wonder what Dice is even thinking about with 2042. Unlike COD, the fans LOVE the gameplay formula and overall gameplay and style. 2042 just felt so out of place design wise, gameplay wise, and map wise. Everything just felt so out of place, or just "wrong".
I'm so sorry that you had your hopes up for 2042... God bless.
DICE was forced to make 2042 due to EA wanting to get the success Epic Games and Activision Blizzard had. Because of this, a lot of the veteran DICE devs left after battlefield V release which was about when development for 2042 started. A shame to see dice ruined by EA.
Edit: I meant that the way 2042 was made was forced by EA ^

The theme for Siege of Shanghai and Lumphini Garden sound very similar
Same with Dragon Pass and Pearl Market
Edit: Flood Zone and Hammerhead also have some similar beats

I remember still loading into maps on my ps4 and all the game audio would be mute except the music. Hearing nothing but the amazing music and all the vehicles and aircraft charging the nearest point was really something epic and old DICE did it so well. Jin Jie’s Revolution is just 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
