    Despite no jobs and people can no longer afford to live, people will be lining up to live off the government. Acquiring $63k monthly is indeed a blessing.

    Trump might delay the tariffs on Mexico and Canada this time around, but his mental instability, change of mind, plus his volatile diplomacy, suggest that Trump could impose these same tariffs at anytime during the next four years.
    Canada should promote inter provincial trade as well as finding other countries who need out resources. An export tax on all resources including oil would generate sufficient for Canada to build cross country pipeline and a refinery on each coast.

      The only way to have bargaining power is to create options. The senior Trudeau visited Cuba and USSR frequently, esp Cuba. That put Americans on their toes and won concessions and technology investment. Too bad, statesmanship is in short supply now. Canada should immediately reach out to China to discuss PetroChina investment in the oil sands and refineries.

    Canada has not committed to putting "troops" on the border. Trudeau wrote: "Nearly 10,000 frontline personnel are and will be working on protecting the border." Those personnel are agents of the Canada Border Services Agency, not troops.

    • @Jockystock
      @Jockystock 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It's all about messaging, let Trump believe he won, when in fact there is already personnel protecting the border. It's like dealing with a child but this child has a base that believes whatever he tells them. It's very scary. We need to reduce our exposure to this country. It's a time bomb. Canada must diversify trading partners as a priority.

      With assistance from CBSA and the RCMP, an 18-wheeler truck was intercepted at the Canada-U.S border on October 15. Officers discovered 475 kilos of cocaine concealed in the vehicle. The remaining drugs were seized after police executed warrants at stash houses. Jan 21, 2025

Canada is/was US n1 costumer, Canada is/was 1 in tourism to US too. Canadians will choose other destinations now. Well not anymore. The trust is broken. Billions of dollars will not go now to US. Enjoy your safety.

      USA population 350 million, buys a lot from Canada
      Canada population 40 million, does not buy as much from USA.
      So is that what you call "subsidizing" ?
      If the USA bought less from Canada then it would not be "subsidizing" Canada ?
      So the "subsidizing" Trump and you refer to, is the fault of the USA ?
