I did this when I was a child whenever I was feeling abandoned. But I would wear a soft pair of gloves and closed my eyes. It was like I had a placebo person who cared showing me kindness. Gosh couldnt we all use a kind hug?

True that. I've made it a part of my life to offer a hug to any friend that I meet. It's such a small act but somehow affects individuals on a deeper level, sometimes just one good hug can help you sleep better at night.
