As someone who loved BT 3, has been playing XV2 for 8 years AND plays street fighter 6 in ranked… I’m glad I came across this video because unlike reviews that I’ve seen you’re talking about tech! Too many reviews are saying it’s button mashing and they keep trying to compare it to modern FGC games like SF, tekken, MK etc in regards to not having hit boxes or frame data in training mode … I don’t know what they were expecting but your video was exactly what I was hoping to come across… from what I see the training mode looks like it is more in depth than what I was expecting… learning about resource management, defensive tech, combo routes etc looks like it can optimized from the options you’ve shown (I paused the video a few times lol) i remember playing BT3 and learning that everyone had different moves and it’s not as simple as just pressing one button… I hope you upload more bro!!! We need this type content

@NeoGodGoku Hey there. Not a pro player, but You can semi flank only with dragon rush (away from opponent) into dash ki blast(diagonal towards opponent, strict timing). Also if you’re in front of your opponent and quick ascend the dragon rush while holding forward you’ll end up behind them. Dragon rush is basically our new “free dash”. You can dragon rush to the left then quick ascend into a diagonally ki blasts dash to also semi flank your opponent. Dragon rush canceling is actually really good in this game. Hopefully the creator sees this and tries it out. I’ll try and upload an unlisted video for you if you need an example. :) Thanks. Happy fighting. Let’s build this meta together.
@@lemonfruit7015 thank you. Just want to hero as much as possible. Personally my defensive needs help in this game hahaha. But it’s not stopping me from figuring out movement options.
@@lemonfruit7015 I streamed early on twitch and explained movement more thoroughly if you want to check it out. I believe the stream will stay up for 12 hours. TidianeSimpson on twitch. Good luck :)
The only issue I had with it was the death of free dash. Other than that, my expectations were met or exceeded. Beautifully done! I'm so hyped for this game, man!
UPDATE!!! Sparking Zero has a combo meter damage limit. Varies by character. This means performing infinites or long combo strings leading into a blast 1 or 2, will result in capped damage or opponents falling out of combos. To maximize damage we need to *reset* the combo meter. There are a couple of ways that work, more to come, all are risky and involve mind games against an opponent in disadvantage. To reset the combo meter have to: 1.) drop your combo. 2.) End your combo with a finisher (smash attack or blast move). Boat moves will rest neutral and smash attacks will send opponent to the chase phase. All methods have been tested while behind my opponent and against CPU set to guard or movement settings.
1.) when meter is about to be full press square 2 or 3 times and let you opponent out of hitstun (This is best done after performing a “lift strike” and then pressing triangle) Follow up responses: - Dragon dash away from opponent then z-Burst Dash - Quick ascend then z-burst dash - Quick descend (airborne only) then z-burst dash - Side step - Dragon dash away from opponent (while grounded) short dash towards opponent, jump, z-burst dash - Dragon dash away from opponent (while grounded) short dash towards opponent, jump, dragon dash towards opponent (while holding forward on the analog stick) *must be behind opponent after jump to perform dragon dash* These options are a response to an opponent coming out of hit stun and turning around with a defensive option ie guard, perception, guard grab, step- in sway etc. For opponents who attack out of hit stun different options man need to be chosen or a shift in execution timing may be necessary. Sometimes z-burst dash will need to be canceled into a block or sonic sway if opponent starts attacking.
Best option for opponents in scenario 1: - Attack after hit stun - Attack then teleport - Use skill like barrier, wild sense, after image or instant transmission - Match quick ascend/descend. Mimic which ever we chose (doing so will cancel our z-burst dash because opponent will be in front of us) *if at any time the opponent chose the opposite option (we quick ascended and they quick descended) then we can get a free blast rush attack that will hit the opponent (if they are facing you hold forward and right or left. If you’re behind them hold down on the analog stick for the blast rush to connect) - Dash or fly away
If you choose to finish your combo with a blast 1 or 2 you can follow up depending on what the results are: Downed on the ground: z-burst dance while they get up to end up behind them If there falling from the sky: (if airborne) quick descend, then dragon dash towards them and circle them as the get up. Can also end with a quick ascend to charge ki. There are so many options that you’ll need to test with your own character. These are just concepts to follow up to start a new combo.
If you choose to finish your combo with a smash attack (charged) you can: - Dragon dash (in this case ours the X button) and prolong your dash until your opponent falls or ends up breaking their fall. *if this happens dragon dash holding forward or press triangle as they’re about to break their fall to do a flying maneuver.* (Results should be that you end up behind them as they break their fall) - Can also finish combo with vanishing also and repeat the process - Press circle to hit them down to the ground and then z-burst dash if they break their fall or ascend and use blast 2 rush attack (this can be achieved by pressing triangle instead of circle and holding down, circle is the safer option because it can’t be countered Non charged smash attacks will put you in a similar situation as scenario one. Reference scenario as if you hit the opponent with square 2-3 times and then follow accordingly. Thanks y’all :)
