So great u guys still have this posted!! (I first seen this 6months before hearing of his passing😢) HE seemed like a really cool dude & definitely a LEGEND!! #RIPRICKWALTERS👑 true legends never die & hope u guys NEVER take this video down!!👌🏽✌🏽💯💯
Thank you Rick! I had too watch it again! I really wish you would of been my mentor! Great stories too! I want to visit your shop and get a traditional tattoo someday soon
I wish be had mentioned the name of the ink made in England! I'm an english tattooist and I'd love to know! I'm guessing Dermaglo or maybe Micky Sharpz?
i wud say this tattoo is very much off in different areas, but then, its a piece majority of us wont get the honour. love how the arist still runs those coils at his age, respect. : ) " COIL LOYAL" . thanks a lot for sharing us all your work.
Dont be harsh to me but is it just me or does the needle go all the way into the skin? And why is that? I have see many other artist tattooing where the needle is just touching the skin and not going into the skin? Can someone explain??
Good question, the needle actually stops moving forward when it hits the skin. Only the very, very tip penetrates. thus the sound of the machine quieting down at that moment. The momentum is set by spring tension with bounce and pull back away from the skin is part of tuning a machine like this. this is called a spring machine. It takes a lot of experience to use a spring machine through a long apprenticeship... i think thats why most new tattooers use rotaries. the rotors don't tune. great question :)
This is a cool machine. It runs off electric magnetic coils. There are springs attached to the armature bar that the needle sits on. Different artist use machines different ways. Most of the time with coil machines it doesn’t make the full travel of what you see coming out. Once it hits the skin if tuned right it bogs down. People think they are going to deep when they hear this but if you know how to tune a machine it is what you want. Too many people these days don’t start on coils. I had to. I was made to.
Rip brother nice clean eagle you are up ther tattooing now my friend with all the other great legends I don’t think thers no guns up ther my friend you were what a tattooer was suppose to be at one time sort of an out law it was cool to go into a shop that was a little wild now adays they tattoo artists call 911 wen thers a little beef u grabbed them by the horns and took care of it yourself like most old school tattooers
If you don't know shit about cross contamination or blood Bourne pathogens it's best just to shut your mouth this man's a legend I'm pretty sure he knows how to clean skin it's not his first rodeo and as was stated the skin wasn't even broken so your point isn't even valid hang your head in shame Rick Walters hates you R.I.P Rick
I remember crying when Rick passed. Such talent, such a pure soul. His art was amazing! Love this
