      don't be such a sentimental person frank would've hated that. However, it is nice that young people are playing Frank's music, it sucks he died so young. I'm older than him now and haven't accomplished much of anything, so who cares what I have to say.

    • @robertmassucci1
      @robertmassucci1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I have to give it to these kids I tried but don't have the talent or perseverance to play
      at all
      nut I defeated myself by thinking that these men and women were uniquely talented so why bother trying? Yet here they are kids who have the confidence and talent to total dedicate themselves. Support fine arts and music. Less football more music dance and the rest of the arts. can I get an amen at least about my last point?

    • @dave11061

      @@robertmassucci1 Some music is intentionally designed to evoke emotion, like in the movies when they start playing the violin music. The filmmakers know exactly what they're doing. Sometimes, a piece of music is so beautiful and/or complex that it can evoke an emotional response, like certain works by Mozart or Beethoven, for example. Or in the case of this video, just seeing these young people doing such a great job of carrying on FZ's music can elicit an emotion. I can relate to John Manning as I responded the same way. Would Frank have hated the fact that watching young amateur musicians perform his music would elicit an emotional response? I wouldn't be so sure. I would never put a person down for being emotionally sensitive. As I see it, it's just a sign that I am a human being and not a robot. If other people hate that about me, they can pound sand.

    When you are just starting out in a band aren't the songs usually simple, because your skills are still brand new ???
    The most complicated song I ever played in a band was probably White Room, but further reflection might reveal another even more so.
    Apparently, Louie Louie & Gloria were TOO simple, and they had to go and learn some Zappa.
    I'm so happy to see youth embracing real music, played by real humans, using real instruments.

    The band is great! The bassist is particularly good. Love it when kids play Franks music, which is exceptionally difficult and not easy for kids to identify with. Really killed it with Echidna's arf of you.
    But when are kid bands going to be told the truth that tambourine is not a real instrument unless you play other instruments too, or sing?
