In global comparison, I don't think he's done enough to be a role model of feminism. There are many men in the world who've done far more everyday. But if we look at it within just the context of South Korea, where gender equality is rarely publicly discussed and women are constantly subject to discrimination and objectification, it is a lot more outstanding if a person actively contributes to a company becoming more aware of such discrimination and taking precaution to ensure better gender equality. Just as an example: In SK, if a woman gets harassed by a co-worker, it's more likely that she might loose her job and not get another than her co-worker who harassed her. If a woman has children, it's highly likely she will be excluded from important projects, which means that she can't get the bonus payment she'd likely get upon completion of the project. Korean companies are very mysogynistic and especially the LEs have very rigid structures that are difficult to change.
So with that background information, for South Korean standards, he could be viewed as a role model.

Okay the reason why this is such a "controversial" topic when it isnt all boils down to the fact that it RM of BTS and piggy backs off of the hate the BTS receives for no reason. Had this been someone else it would not gain as much traction. It is without a doubt that X is filled with biased opinions against BTS and the groups still receives unfounded hate for nothing. All the criticisms are biased and based on hearsay with refusal to acknowledge the groups efforts to improve themselves regardless of the fact being presented.
