I always think that the reason why Regine's live versions are always better than her studio versions is that she draws her energy to improvise from the cheering audience. If you haven't noticed yet, Regine rarely uses ear monitors because aside from the fact that she can rely on her muscle memory to be on pitch, she also wants to hear the loud cheer of the audience. It is no wonder that her voice evolved to be so powerful, because it has to adapt to the loud sound coming from the audience. Otherwise, she'll get drowned.
