Nicodemus was An amazing and very talented man. I dated him in 1989. I met him in Bridgeport Connecticut when he was up from New York visiting his cousins Charlie and Jakes. We had many many great times and I have so many fond memories of us living in Garfield place in Brooklyn, his brother blaka mauwel, going to dancehall shows when his hit cabinstabin came out and going to see supercat and his wife Michelle in long island. Lots of time spent at the dog track as well. Lol he showed me a lot of beautiful places and even gave me a shout out on one of his records irie ippie one. I will never ever forget him! Big up LULU’s kitchen in Brooklyn and reverend badoo’s mother!
I wish I was in my 20s in the 80s instead of being born in the 80s. I would've partied every weekend to music like this. Music today is poor kmt. Bring back the old skool Dub!
I was 22 at that time. I was lucky enough to catch Super Cat live in concert once. He tore the spot down. The dancehall clubs in VA were a great experience. Dark, loud, smokey and dangerous. But the vibes were amazing. They kept you coming back....girls grinding on you all night. Until The Rasta's would shoot up the club. But it was really a fun time. Damn I miss it.Big up's to Norfolk and Newportnews VA!!!!
This is how it should be done...this style is identical to none! Super Cat is the Don! Dancehall will never be the same again. Big up to both Super Cat and Nico, the dynamic duo! All the young youth of today...Listen up clearly!!!!
In sports in music in science the true geniuses make it look easy. These are geniuses at work God bless them for their talent I love it and I thank whoever shot the video.
MAAAAADDDDD! This totally blows my mind. How can they - so calmly - kill an entire dancehall lyrically! BOOM! and big up to the greatest slackky DJ-rhymer - Nicodemus...
Im with you, what does it matter his decent. He is 100% Jamaican. If you go to Jamaica there are many people of this decent. Thats like saying a light skinned American black is not Black. Supercat is a legend and did alot for dancehall. Big Up!
Just look how Super Cat timed the beat perfectly at 0:40 ... that's what you call flow...the so called hot Dancehall artists out there should take note.
charisma to fill a canyon. one of the best dancehall clips ever. these guys are such pros. [funny that suzie wong is japanese, cuz wong is a chinese name.]
Supercat had a unique style of deejaying and was a brilliant disc jockey, riding the rhythm like Willie Shoemaker rode a horse...Nicodemus was brilliant at "ridin' di riddim" as well...Supercat, Yellowman, Jose Wales, Admiral Bailey, Shabba Ranks, Ninja Man, Major Mackerel and Nicodemus were a cut above the Jamaican dancehall deejays of today.
"...God come 1st n' mi gun come second, third ah mi woman, cus she ah mi ram.." Effortless! I remember this.... i have this on vhs tape somewhere... respect for uploading!
