I love the ease and quickness of your videos. I’ve watched several already. They are very empowering for beginners and even for more advanced sewists. Thanks a lot.
I made about 5 dresses and miscellaneous shirts, pants, and skirts today for my daughter and then she had a fashion show with her Barbies in their new outfits. Thank you for your wonderful tutorials and the great patterns!
Thank you for the great tips on making simple Barbie pants. I have been hunting for patterns but I won't need them now that I saw your video!!! I like the 2nd way you made the pattern with the one leg. Thanks from me and Barbie.
This is great! I have a lot of thrift store Barbies that need clothes. I like the second technique as then you are sure each leg of the pants is the same size! Thank you! I subscribed!
@@Lelesdesigns thank you, believe me you saved me. I might small dolls and I have to create outfits and i mostly do felting but every now and then i must sew
Thank you...thank you...THANK YOU for actually explaining the process instead of having background music. I am a visual/audio/tactile learner and the DIY videos that run quickly without an explanation just do not work for me. I SEE the process; but it is difficult to make the connection. THANK YOU and I will subscribe!
i appreciate your pattern and instructions! ATM I'm trying to make wide leg pants for vintage Barbie, so I'm trying to figure out how to adjust the pattern. (by wide leg I mean the really flowy type pants popular in the 70s)
No it is a great question. I would first test if you can sew a straight stitch. If not try a walking foot if your machine comes with it. if neither of that works you can try using one the stretch stitch on your machine.
@@Lelesdesigns Hi me again I wanted to let you know I made pants and a matching shirt for a Barbie doll and it came out great. I admit I had issues getting the stretchy fabric through my sewing machine which resulted in me making the outfit by hand. I took a photo of it and I plan on showing it off online. Thanks for making this tutorial video and recommending to use stretchy fabric.
Hi Princess Peach, Glad to hear it worked out for you and yes knit is tricky with a sewing machine. If your machine has a walking foot I would use it on knit

I have a suggestion for nude dolls: instead of clothing them over clothing, maybe paint a bikini on them with nail polish, a marker, or acrylic paint.
Marialla, Thank You so much that is a great idea. I appreciate you letting me know. 🤗 ❤️🤗
I liked the #2 option!

Silly question: what stitch do you use on the machine when sewing the knit material? Thanks for sharing your patterns :)
No it is a great question. I would first test if you can sew a straight stitch. If not try a walking foot if your machine comes with it. if neither of that works you can try using one the stretch stitch on your machine.
Awesome 😎

Awesome
Thanks poptartsag
Thanks, Lisa. Which fabric pen do you use to trace out the patterns? I can't seem to find one that works.
I use the disappearing ink mark b gone from Walmart I find this works better than the more expensive one at Joann's
#2 for sure! Thank you 🙏🏽😊
Your welcome 😊Thanks for your choice
will it work if i use an old shirt instead of leggings? great tutorial by the way, it looks really easy
Thank You! if it has some stretch to the old shirt then it should work.
Can it be done without the fabric being stretchy material
no it can not
Question could I use let's say cotton fabric that doesn't stretch to make pants and shirts for Barbie? Or should I stick to spandex fabric?
an old knit shirt or any knit will work but cotton fabric with no stretch will not work
@@Lelesdesigns thank you that actually helps me out.
That is great to hear

Oh Lord 😂 I meant #2 not B.
No problem 😊 that for letting me know
Great instruction! That is so absurd about the nude DOLL, for goodness sake!!
Thank You so much! I agree with you about the nude dolls.
I really liked it can you make a video of making leggings without sewing
Thanks you can glue or hand sew this in the area I used the machine.
@@Lelesdesigns okay thank you
I will hand sew
now squidward can now have pants
Nice!
what is the name of the cloth?
it is dancewear. Here is a link at walmart www.walmart.com/ip/Dance-Wear-Foil-Gold-Fabric-per-Yard/20684105?selected=true so you can see it better.
