This is also true here in the USA, where God is absent. Evil creeps in. The people who refuse to return to God, and stop sinning, God will bring his Judgement.
Israel and America must pray diligently to God.

Jesus also said in Matthew 15 I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then in Matthew 21 he says the kingdom shall be taken from them and given to a nation bearing the fruit thereof. The temple was destroyed in 70ad.
