Wonderful video! Just as an aside, most natural food stores with canning supplies sell powdered ascorbic acid(vitamin C) in bulk. Waaaaaay cheaper than buying it in the vitamin aisle. Available online as well, of course.😊 Enjoy the beautiful days and abundant harvest!

Thank you so much for all your videos. Extremely helpful.
I found out how to connect with pay pal and I ordered a package of Dino Kale for next spring. We are moving to my Dream House with daughter and son in law end of July. There are 7 Acres, of which 4 acres is wooded and 3 are open around a huge house. There are 2 springs on the property. We will be creating a pond from one spring. I have a composition book with all the videos that I found to be applicable to our property. I will be viewing all of these again with my daughter when we get into the house.
    Again, thank you so much!

I am a fishkeeper in california so I have to ues a water conditionaer to remove the clorine and cloramines, did you test the water to see if indeed the cloramines are gone and does it change the ph, fyi the other way to remove cloramines is to install an inline filter with a carbon block

The chlorine dissipates fast. It can't wait to separate from water and the ammonia. I know I use to run water plants that were monochromatine disinfected and I had to keep residuals up to standards. The chloramines didn't last as long as straight chlorine. Not in it's monochloramine state anyway. The ammonia would last but not the chlorine. It would boogy as quick as it could. I noticed when people would go out of town and come home and turn on the hot water and it smelled like sewer water from the nitrified ammonia. Especially the hot water heater. That gets the chlorine moving faster. After 2 to 3 days nitrifying ammonia is the biggest culprit when trying to eliminate Chloramines. P.S. Good video. It's good to know your method and if if the fish are healthy then you know the ammonia is under control.👌

If you've fed all your plants already, there is no harm in pouring it on your lawn or feeding a neighboring tree. Without aeration, the tea will last 4-5 days on its own. But if you keep it aerated it you could extend it's life much longer.

Will someone please explain, help me to understand the 'half life' mentioned? I have no idea what he's trying to tell me there.

So half life relates to elements. All elements are made of electrons, protons, and neutrons. The number of protons makes an element that element. The number neutrons, can make something more or less stable, and is known as a isotope, its effect is radioactivity. For example, hydrogen usually has 1 proton and 0 neutron, but hydrogen can also exist as 1 proton with 1, 2 or 3 neutrons, these are hydrogen isotopes.
So a half life is a the time an element takes to decay to half of itself, things decay to get to the most stable point/ or basic point. This is important for medical terms because it talks about how long it takes for a radioactive isotope to leave your body. So lets say we have 10 grams of isotope X, and it has a half life of 1 hour. In 1 hour it decays and 5 grams is still radioactive, another hour 2.5 is still radioactive. another hour its 1.25 gr still radio active etc. Things with short half lives mean they decay quick, things with long half lives like 10 years or more means something is radioactive for longer time periods.

@@Shetasen, but Vitamin C is not a unstable radioactive isotope.

Seems like wishful thinking that a teaspoon a VC will decontaminate the chloramine in 25 gals of tap.
