Listening to this as I am canning a 1/2 bushel of apples into applesauce. I also do not have a farm, but living in Ontario Canada I am blessed to be surrounded by local farms. I buy bushels and bushels of tomatoes, apples, peppers, and dozens of corn to fill my freezer and stock my canning pantry shelves with food from where I live. I find my peers respond so positively to describing how I keep my home, they often share memories from their childhoods making jam and pies with their parents and grandparents. I hope my sweet baby, still tucked away in my belly for now, will look back on the hours we will spend shucking corn or peeling peaches and tomatoes with that same fondness.
I'm watching from Nova Scotia. I grew up in Miami, Florida after being adopted from Canada. Once life got out of my way I returned in 08. Living in the very southwestern tip of the province, is a dream I've been trying to achieve for years and finally did. Very rural here. Not an easy place to get to and it's a small fishing town. I live in a small A Frame with a view to die for over a small lake. Perfect for writing, reading, sewing, growing, peace. The only way I'm leaving this life is feet up. LOL
@@TheAncestralHomekeeper Best time to come here is either late June or late September. Not too hot or too cold. Maine is a beautiful state. I lived there for a while.
I really needed to hear the part about "thinking we need to get it perfectly right robs us...". I struggle with wanting things perfect or if I don't think I can get it perfect to begin with, I won't even try. I can pull together so many regrets of things left untried. Thank you for the beautiful words and video.
Lovely Video! I just found your channel! I subscribed! I agree we should not worry about what other people think and not to explain ourselves to others all the time. Its very stressful! I enjoyed this video!
I have just discovered your channel and couldn't not watch your videos. You are very inspiring as I begin my walk towards slow living and I can't wait to watch future videos. I am a mom of 2 aspiring to change my own expectations and the way I deal with the world around me. Thank you so much for your good work!
I hear all these preachy life style coach advertisements on TH-cam where they are actually yelling in the camera and ranting on about being successful, then I find your channel, with real down to earth wisdom, which is far more insightful and useful than a thousand 'money making become confident and get rich quick success' lifestyle coaches. Thank you for your wisdom.
I love your words, it resonates so much with what i already know within. Waiting for you next content. I wish you a beautiful and exiting adventure here in TH-cam my dear 🌷🌹
I always wanted this life style! Even before i had my children. Society makes it an antouchaple dream, its good that your hasband encourages you to stay home.
this is such sweet poetry! I needed those words today. I am in my mid-twenties and struggle to find the path that feels good for me. I am almost obsessed with being productive because this is how I was raised. Seeing your videos touched my heart in many ways. Thank you!

I am loving that marble mortar and pestle. I have never seen one like it. Where did you find it?
I found this one from an artisan in Italy- through Etsy I believe. It was an investment, but it makes me so happy every time I see it. 😍✨💕
