Haven't played this one yet but the issue I had with 23 was that franchise just turned into a steamroller once you had all the facilities (and once you were winning money became trivial). Not sure if it's a bit more complex but I really hope they add a lot of depth to the financials and drafting and make facilities more balanced.

If you only have a Nintendo Switch and want to play a football game, this is where it’s at. Almost reminds me of playing Madden 2012 on the PS Vita back in the day

Thank you very much for taking the time to record this video, is greatly appreciated. For me however, my first introduction to Axis Football was last year's version 2023. I do like the fact that it is cross platform meaning Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems. Based on your video and other videos I've watched regarding this Football game, I have to conclude there's very little difference between the previous year's version and one that you highlighted in this video. For me it would be a hard sell to spend money on the product.
If they were able to take advantage of the more robust artificial intelligence voiceovers, to create a more immersive experience. And have more stadiums available to add to the immersion in being in a different place, for me would have been enough to pull the trigger. Sadly they only added 2 new stadiums and the rest of it is about the same. Sadly I'll have to say I'll pass. If a developer can get the criteria stated above, that would be awesome. My thoughts cheers Dion.
PS: my comment above is based on a spectator mode perspective. Set the computer up and let it do its thing, while I'm eatting my Popcorn. :)
No problem! I enjoy making videos, especially when people can get value out of them. I do agree that if you are solely playing in "spectator" mode then yeah keep that 20$ and get extra popcorn 🍿 😉
I love this game, I created a 32 team franchise with 32 custom teams I made myself and I stream the full games of all the teams. I even made like 6 custom named players for each team as well it’s a lot of fun to see how the teams you created and the players you created turn out in franchise play.

Unfortunately as of now you can only take control of 1 team out of 32. Kind of a bummer but im guessing it could be possible in the future releases or maybe even as an update.
It's okay. I like the fact I'm playing in my own customized league. I like the fact also that I can either coach or spectate the games so that I don't have to deal with any finckyness of the controls. I'm a tad disappointed with the amount of customization you have available, but I know as each future release comes out, that will improve. What I'm most disappointed with the league size is that at sixteen teams you don't have the option of not having conferences and divisions. I also don't like the fact you can't play all the teams in a sixteen game league. The season is only for twelve games. Hopefully they can improve on that in the future. I also feel a season and practice mode would improve the quality of the game. Hopefully that will also be in the future releases too. But, overall, I'm enjoying the game.
Agreed! There is definitely room for improvement in the future. But considering the fact that it comes from a small publisher and the low price point of the game, I don't know how fast they can make improvements they would like to. Glad you are enjoying the game, and I know I will definitely be enjoying starting a franchise mode.

No no create a coach and all you have to do the Qb scramble is hold sprint

I miss that as well. But I can only recall Madden NFL Head Coach having that feature
front page sports football had an out of site play maker, offense, defense, special team, or any crazy play you wanted to make.
WHAT ABOUT PRACTICE MODES FOR THE SKILL POSITIONS AND PRACTICE RNNING OFFENSE AND DEFENSE WITHOUT HAVING TO GET CRASHC COURSE LEARNING IN-GAME... ???
They REALLY need to ditch the Letters for overall! Just give us numbers already and stop being so dam difficult

To me that improves the game you don't get to compare attributes irl you just have general notions regarding things.there are attribute numbers if you create a player you can see them Maybe they could have a coach perk that reveals the raw start for experienced coaches.

As long as the game play isn't slow as madden, getting picked off every throw... having the defense close a 20 yard gap in moments...I'll say it will be better haha
all it takes is for everyone to say franchise & customizations are perfectly fine we just want better gameplay on all reviews and next years will be the best watch
The issue with franchise (at least in the last game and I don't think they added anything in this one) is that it presents as a lot deeper than it ends up being. Facilities are insanely overpowered, once they're maxed out and you have a halfway decent roster you just turn into a steamroller, the worst season I had after that was 14-2 I think. You also earn money by winning and hosting playoff games so that became a triviality after the first winning season.
It's come miles from those initial games but I think franchise is actually a bit of a disappointment.

The QBs run slow when you scramble and the pass defense is horrible but other than that I love running the ball and scoring or getting alot of yards on kick returns
Agreed! QB speed seems to mean nothing when scrambling. And indeed, horrible pass defense, impossible to "user"
I do think they got mods for this with correct stuff around every team and real player names.
Yeah I know there where NFL mods for the 2023 version. Idk if someone as already made it for 2024. Or if you can just use the same mod from the previous version 🤷♂️

I skipped axis 23 and 24 . The game just wasn't challenging enough . It was to easy to beat the computer.gets played out real quick .

Offense Point Scoring
Touchdown- Getting in the endzone by either passing or running is 6 points.
Extra Point Conversion- after scoring a Touchdown you can attempt a 1 or 2 point conversion.
A 1 point conversion is kicking from the 2 yard line.
A 2 point conversion is Throwing or Running from the 4 yard line.
Field Goal-
Making a kick from 1 plus yards away on 4th down 3 points.
Defense Point Scoring
Regular Interception & Fumble Recovery- By simply getting an Interception or fumble Recovery is 1 point.
Pick 6 & Fumble Recovery Touchdown- Returning an Interception or fumble to the Endzone is 6 points.
Safety- Tacking an Offensive Player with the Football in their endzone will get you 2 points.

Play Madden where nothing but the scouting system changed in the last 15 years, then.
2k5 did this. With presentation as well and great gameplay. That's why ea cornered the market. They had an inferior product but the money to take out the superior.
