Dear Teacher Pam, I would like to use my sympathetic tone to express my deep thankfulness for your lessons to which I have been watching until now. Especially this lesson help me prepare a lot for preparing the C1 Cambridge Advanced Exam Use and Reading Part 6 in which I am supposed to find out the tones and Attitudes of the reviewer. Warm greeting from Germany

    Dear Pam,
I understand you organised these videos in relation to online teaching classes. I would be interested in receiving a copy of your tone and purpose handout, if you are able to share. I noticed in one of your replies to a follower that you are organising programs for struggling learners. Well done. This is something that is very close to my heart.
Education has given me a lot in life (achieving consultant surgeon level in UK). I was largely self taught but had valuable input from some teachers. Interestingly I can be "tone blind" when reading an emotive passage. I am a maths, music and science person. I always found the English language frustrating as we did not get the teaching we needed in order properly internalise the rules of the subject. I could only self learn so much before getting fatigued.
I can therefor half imagine what it is like to have some difficulty with learning as I seem to have a a residual deficit in the English language department. Creative writing and literature were straight forward but dealing with unseen prose and poetry was either difficult or a no no as we did not get the proper foundation from our classes at school ( this was in the 1980s). Answering questions in one's "own words" caused instant brain freeze. Literary devices were barely taught. Other exercises such as linking, summarising, comparing and contrasting were scantily taught.
Thank you for your video posts.
    G.

😂 No, I am very healthy. Those posts were for an online college class that I was teaching. I am now developing programs for struggling learners. However, if I can help you with anything, please let me know.
